That was a weird "debate" def. full of hot air it seemed. It's interesting that my last question was never really answered(that I could see)... I also threw in the "au revoir" to be a bit of a smart ass in an obscure, passive aggressive way. not usually my style, but i think it was either that or downing a fifth of vodka.

to my dismay the Library was not open yesterday. damn. do over today.

lol. i didn't even read the "drink the kool-aid & enjoy" part. *almost* as awesome as the one in mine when the girl said obama can go salt his watermelon and stuff. :/ way to detrast from the issue and remind us all that your all butthurt about the election.

Actually, I don't think he meant it that way, more like the Jonestown Kool-Aid. For as obnoxious as he's been in lots of different forums, he's never said or even implied anything racist.

Nevertheless, I'm really tired of hearing nothing but NO from him. My old political science professor used to talk about the "positive response". When you're arguing against something, if you don't have something to propose as an alternative, you have no place in the debate. It's like telling the DJ to "play something else" without offering anything you'd like to hear.

It's easy to say no again and again until your vocal cords give out, and then hold up a big sign that says NO. But if he thinks everyone in government (and everyone that agrees with anyonein government) is so stupid, and he obviously does, else he wouldn't call them Retardicans and Dumbocrats, why doesn't he come up with something better?

True... the watermelon comment was just blatant. It's good that he's not racist.

I agree! I would have liked to hear ANYTHING from him but his attacking me with "you didn't even read it, did you" or other likewise questioning. It didn't matter how I answered that... the outcome (of us never agreeing) would have been constant.

The problem with that line of questioning is that it's a no-win situation. If you said, "Yes, I've read every word on all 1018 pages, and all the referenced legislation too, and by the time I got done I learned so much about the law that I stopped off between putting gas in the car and picking the kids up from daycare and passed the Missouri bar exam," he'd just say, "Well then you must not have understood it because if you did then you'd agree with me."
