I had also read that elsewhere; labor costs include pensions of retired employees; take home pay is much lower.

So the big 3 have a huge problem in that their pensions are underfunded! Possibly it was because that money was invested in a stock market that has tanked?

This $25 billion bailout debate seems almost comical compared to the $700 billion that was rushed through with virtually no debate. The total bailout price tag is over $2 trillion. Americans don't have this money our government is throwing around, and it will end up with the dollar being devalued. How long that will take and how much, I don't know.
