Dream humour.

Yes, there is such a thing. Recently I saw a joke in a dream that I somehow managed to remember past waking; as if that wasn’t unusual enough, the truly miraculous thing is that it happened to still be amusing in my waking state. It’s probably not funny to anyone in the world besides me, but still. This is what happened: in my dream, I was looking ( Read more... )

The right-hand rule isn't a statement about the universe. It's a statement about the relationship between the conventions we use to describe electric currents and magnetic fields. Since magnetic fields come, as far as we know, only from electric currents (including displacement currents), you could reverse the right-hand rule into a left-hand rule and get exactly the same predictions about everything in the universe that isn't a magnetic field - including all the things that magnetic fields move around.

Also, magnetic fields don't induce currents. Changes in magnetic fields induce currents.

It is certainly a statement about our universe that circular rotating magnetic fields always occur in tandem with linear currents. Punchiness and precision, however, rarely do.
