I wondered for a long time why it feels like my my self/mind - my “I” - is inside my head. I realised this suddenly one day and thereafter spent quite some time contemplating the question on and off, trying to understand how this works. Likely their sense of self would be where their primary sense is, since that sense is their "lens of perception" of existence. I imagine a deaf person's self location is probably the same as yours or mine, but a blind person's would likely be directly between their ears.

More enigmatically, though, would a blind-deaf person's locus, since their primary sense would be touch...

Yes, I thought of what it might be like for the blind, but between the ears is not that different from between the retinas. That’s why I skipped right to wondering about the blind-deaf.

A fascinating idea is that maybe they perceive their mind to reside all throughout their body. OTOH, they still use their mouth and nose, which are located on the head and those might be enough to define their locus. Pity I don’t know any blind-deaf person…
