Once upon a time, I belonged to a group of abuse survivors.  They were an emo bunch, but we got along for the most part.  One day, one of the members of the group noticed a livejournal group called "Rapists unite" (is my journal going to be deleted for using the R word again?  One thing's for certain...no one knows).  The abuse survivor community

the nets just increases most people's abilities to be fuckwads, and that includes LJ (for being dicks and deleting your journal without AT LEAST letting you archive ALL of it) because they've created this thing that idiots can abuse so easily ... so now everyone's gotta be scared that someone's gonna go off and do something REALLY BAD and sue LJ because they somehow *allowed* it to happen. JEEMINY!

I tells ya, there's something wrong with humanity and parents/ communities who don't teach the kids right from wrong ...

If I wanted, I could use the archiving tool to slowly go through every month of my journal and download and save text-only copies of everything I've said, minus comments and flair and just about everything that made the entries valuable expressions of community. There's not much of a point. I have entries that I love and think are important, but fuck if I can remember when and where they are to look for them. Livejournal is a service I've paid a lot of money for in the past, and it's ridiculous that they can read one word in my interests and with one sweeping move delete every entry I've ever posted like this. Listing the word "rape" as one of my interests is NOTHING like encouraging or soliciting it, and thus I had no warning whatsoever that this would happen and thus no chance to avoid it, and that makes Livejournal a shitty service that's not worth my time or money. I'm still here, though, because I know people here and I miss the community and I WANT to make posts. So I'm torn. If they reinstated my old journal, I'd still
