"Here I am!" Din said, jumping out from under what looked like a fort made out of couch cushions stacked like a house of cards with several sheets thrown on top of it.

(Surprise!)

He smiled at her and at the Kabobs, Dinorap sneaked out from under the fort as well. Dino having fashioned a Dinorap sized entrance and exit. "That hurt, are you okay?" he asked her.

(The food's not squished is it?)

The scattered lights in the dark produced an eerie but at the same time star like setting. Dino had dispersed lamps on varying tables and cabinets as far as twenty feet behind him. Hoping that it would look like stars. Dino shrugged, when he read what was in his bubble, trying to excuse himself with this simple action.

He moved towards Ran, pushing furniture out of the way to make an easy path for her. "I hope you like it," Dino said softly.

(I tried to make furniture island nice looking)

Ran scrunched up her face and gave a small hop, rubbing the sole of one sneaked against the top of the other. "Sorry about that," she said somewhat sheepishly, looking off to one side.

(My bad, I wasn't paying enough attention. I was hoping you hadn't felt it.)

The scrape of furniture against the floor found her looking up again quickly, just in time to see Dino giving a trio of ottomans a push to one side with his leg. She hadn't yet bothered to take a look around, but when his bubble went blank and then spoke again, Ran made a conscious effort to notice. It was -- well, nice; perhaps a lot nicer than Ran had expected squatting in a furniture store would be like. And there was something oddly familiar about it, being there in that space -- like a ramshackle and jimmy-rigged picture of domesticity. High ceilings, sparse light, and Dino. It gave Ran a warm, comfortable feeling in her stomach. Deja vu, only a million times nicer, even with the context of memory stripped away ( ... )

This was gonna be weird, Dino realized. A whole lot more truth was going to come spilling out than maybe either of them was ready for. He took the parcel from her and grinned. "I like them cold," he said and pulled one of the sheets of the entrance to the fort.

(I like them hot.)

Dino would have smacked himself on the forehead, but unfortunately both hands were full.

"Do you want to eat in the fort," he asked holding the entrance open. "Or do you wanna eat after playing in the ball pit."

(Ball pit, ball pit, ball pit, ball pit.)

Dino scrunched up his face, again wanting to smack himself in the forehead. He just sighed and looked at Ran, when ever the lights flickered he could see it reflect in her glasses and it reminded him almost like firelight, looking at her made him both happy and sad. And for both he didn't understand exactly.

"So..."

(If we went to ball pit we might not talk as much, which means none of these truth telling bubbles.)

"I think I should just shut up."

(Fuck.)

Ran rolled her eyes and gave a laugh, waving one hand through the air above Dino's head, as if she were trying to smack around his thought bubble. She had to push herself slightly on tip-toe to reach it and when she did, there was little to do other than just let her hand pass through it, back and forth -- little more than a projection, but originating from where, Ran couldn't tell. Teetering, she dropped back onto her feet and pulling at some of the brown paper with her fingers, she reached in and pulled out one kabob before snatching the entire thing back and depositing it carefully on a nearby chair.

"Here," she said, rather firmly, pressing the hand that held the kabob forward nudging at Dino's chest.

(Eat.)

"Since your truth-delivering friend up there has shown me your heart's true desires, I think you should busy yourself with at least that, so that you don't end up passing out on me or something. That would be awkward."

(I'm pretty sure I can't carry you, so I'd have to leave you face down in the ballpit.)Nodding at him ( ... )
