Summary: Reverie returns to Edensphere, and someone is there to greet him.

He dreamt. He dreamt of shadowy mist and the beautiful woman and the silver fox. There was an eery familiarity here, not just in the people he saw but in the dream itself. He reached out and again felt those masks, but this time he could pull in the power he knew and blasted it with kidou.

The gasp sucked in goop and not air, and Reverie's train of thought went something like this:

1. I can't breathe.

2. I'm in a cocoon.

3. I'm not dead.

That thought startled him immensely, and he fell over in the cocoon and started trying to breathe. His thoughts raced through his sudden living, thinking about the hurricane, thinking about the ice and he was here. He was alive. Things became clearer, and he jumped through a couple of more logic hoops.

The first was that he could breathe. That was good. The second was that... this could actually turn out to his advantage.

The girl snapped to attention when one of the cocoons fell over. Eyes wide, she turned her head to note that it hadn't broken yet. But she was overcome with nervousness at the very thought that it might very well do so very very soon. Hands fumbling, she snatched up a bundle of provisions and shakily climbed down from the shelf before approaching the cocoon.

Arriving at a safe distance, she finally reminded herself to breathe. That's right--take deep breaths. It was okay; everything was going to be alright. Nothing would attack her, nothing would attack her, nothi--but she was pretty much alone in this aisle! What would she do if something dangerous came out!?!?!

Clearly the girl was having issues trying to calm herself down.

he pushed his hands out to break the outer shell of the cocoon and sucked in a deep, warm breath of air to accompany the sludge in his lungs. It felt good, like opportunity, and to be honest, he didn't even mind blowing the goop out through his nose and lungs and trying to get a handle on the sudden dizziness that the rush of air brought him. He looked up at the girl - his guide, he supposed, but before he could say anything, was overcome by another fit of goop-induced coughing.

As soon as he came out, she FROZE. But then he was having one of those gooey coughing fits, and she hurried to hand him a towel. "Hey, are you alright? Here." And just as quickly as she'd done so, she now sifted through the bundle and presented clothing as well. "Umm.... umm.... you were just born, and.... and...."

She'd already turned aside--why was she always greeting guys? And if not guys, then scary and overbearing ladies? It seemed like every time she had to greet, they were scary people--except Arrow. That guy seemed really really nice.

"A-and so you're in Edensphere, so you probably don't remember anything, right?"

Actually, she was probably wrong about him not remembering anything, but who was she to know any better?
