Characters: Lin (sting_to_death) and Rain (notpissedoff) Date/Time: 16/X Location: TBD. Rating: PG. Summary: Lin finds out through the theatre that Sen is actually Rain and goes to confront him about it.
It was a nice enough day, if a windy one, and Yamazaki had taken Taichou out to the Park. The dog had run off immediately to chase after falling leaves that blew about in the breeze; he was probably at the other end of the island by now, but Yamazaki wasn't concerned. He'd come back when he got tired. The shinobi sat on the cool ground, his back against a tree, content enough to be alone with his thoughts

It'd been a while since she'd been practically shaking with anger. For that, she thought, maybe he should have felt proud of himself. She slammed her fist against the tree, doing her best to keep her reiatsu in check as leaves fell to the ground, over both of them-- just a little more and she really could have caused serious damage, even if she didn't intend to.
It wasn't typical of her to act this way. It happened only when someone betrayed her trust. And that wasn't something that could happen often, considered how rarely she gave her trust to anyone.
But she'd trusted Sen-- well, Rain. She'd trusted her even when she told her she'd been lying to her, she thought that, at that point, that'd be the truth for sure. Lin had been dumb. She should have known that a liar is a liar, and Sen was no different. Probably when Rain thought they were becoming too close he'd cut off with her in such a way to protect himself from her rage.
Too bad that she had found out anyway.
"I know." She hissed out. "Yamazaki Susumu." Her lips curled into

The amount of force with which her fist hit the tree made it quite clear just how furious Lin was, but the fact that it was the tree and not Yamazaki's face indicated that this wasn't blind rage. He'd be given a chance to speak, to explain himself, and surely that could only work to his benefit. For once, after all, he hadn't done anything that would make him the rightful target of her anger. Whatever it was that had her so worked up... for once, he must be innocent.
...And then she called him by name. His full name. And Yamazaki felt himself stop breathing as his insides seemed to turn to ice. His eyes widened, the shock--and dread--blatantly apparent, and the rest of what Lin said just barely registered in his mind. Susumu. There was only one way she could know that name... there was only one memory...
There were four other people who knew that name--Okita, and the three who had witnessed that memory on the fourth floor. Paladin, Ben, and Reed. Yamazaki had trusted them--he'd trusted them! How foolish of him...
He talked too easily as far as she was concerned, so she made sure to increase the pressure around him. She wanted to knock the wind out of him with the sheer force of her anger, pin him in place and not let him go until she got an explanation.
Her hand slid down to his neck, thumb pressing against his throat. Not quite choking him off, but it surely wasn't comfortable-- especially for a warrior, who knew how delicate and vulnerable that point of the body was. She could severe his veins from there, she could cut off his airway, she could stab him with a dagger and let him bleed to death.
But Lin did none of those things, for the moment. "The theatre told me. It showed me one of your memories," jaw clenched, she leaned a little bit closer, "Why? Why would you do such a thing?"
Behind all the anger, she was hurt. He'd deliberately tricked her into trusting him, she even let him into her home, she'd believed him... for months. And what for? Was it entertainment he'd sought?
