He glanced over at the other people--he knew Souji, of course, and vaguely Bridge, mostly because he knew Locket needed Bridge for some reason he hadn't inquired too deeply about. He hadn't seen enough of the man to form an opinion, however.
"Well, here we are," he remarked, to no one in particular.

"Have any of you ever been here before?" he wanted to know.

He gave a cheerful nod at Bridge's question. "Mmhmm! I found the bridge here earlier this month."

He had to admit, it was something of a relief to see that Ginko had at least one friend back where he came from. The memory ended disappointingly early, for Sniper was already curious about all the mushi that the two men were talking about and wanted to hear more. It sounded like some sort of great adventure, perhaps not one as drastic as in the stories he read, but an adventure nevertheless. He opened his mouth to ask Ginko if he remembered either of those mushi they were talking about, but shut it again once another memory began to play.

Still, it was an interesting place- was this Doctor Adashino a scientist or apothecary of some sort? Or maybe a medical doctor that used unusual methods? He wasn't sure. At least it wasn't an intensely-private memory on display, at any rate.

That weird blue dog-man thing was interesting, though, and Sniper made a mental note to ask Bridge about the species in his world.
Of course, Logan was a happily familiar sight to him, though he wondered if Logan was a replica of the robot dog or an exact copy. Either way, it was pretty cool. He had to say, however, that Logan was a way better name than Robotic Interactive Canine would ever be.
At least it was a good memory. Laughter was something one seldom heard in memories here and it did his heart good to hear it.

Still, the man and woman who appeared to be part-animal were fascinating, as was the dog that seemed to be made of living metal. Whatever was going on, it seemed to be a happy moment. He leaned forward in his chair, curious, as the memory ended--and another one began almost immediately.

"If fear doesn't kill you, I'll take your soul. If you had a real sword, you could fight against me." It was a clear threat, though Hijikata-san seemed unfazed by it.
"Souji. I've had enough of this game. The sword is hidden in that crevasse, a little further in. Bring it to me and I'll protect you."
A rush of wind covered whatever the two said next, though he could see their mouths move. Unseen by them, a third figure came out front behind the rocks - another child, from the look of it, unmaksed. Himself There was a blade in his hands, far too ( ... )

No... it wasn't a man, judging by the height, he realized. Souji killed another child with a blade that looked like it could barely be called a sword. It had no proper grip, and not even the stark beauty that most swords carried clung to it; it was, pure and simply, a tool for killing.
As the memory faded, he hoped that Hijikata had smashed it down with the intent to break it.

She was laughing - a rather queer sound, horo horo horo horo - and rose her arms into the air as she drifted upwards. Her midriff was bared, and her long pink hair fell from its pigtails in loose curls. “Even if you can clearly see me,” she said, “this body of mine can go through anything ( ... )

Smart, too - Souji was surprised to hear him list off how he'd found the girl's weakness. Souji had to admit it was something he wasn't that skilled at - straight-up fighting was more his style.
