Krile wasn't sure how she had found her way into this forest, but she didn't feel any inclination to question it right now. Despite the thick darkness, she could feel it being alive all around her. And she kept seeing things--at least, she thought she was seeing things. Every time she tried to get a closer look at one of the strange, luminous forms, it seemed to simply not be there anymore.

She followed the odd things through the trees, unconcerned by the lack of paths or even the question of what she would do if one managed to stay there long enough for her to look at it. But there was one that was staying rather still. It didn't look anything like the others, kind of shaggy and silver-looking and...

...oh it was hair.

"Ginko?"

Ginko had been crouched down, examining a plant of some kind. It wasn't immediately clear what, if anything, was so special about this particular piece of flora--but he straightened up from it quickly enough when he heard a familiar voice call his name.

Turning, he spotted her easily in the dappled shadows. "Hey, Krile. Come to keep me company?"

"I guess so," Krile said with a grin. She headed closer, looking around. "The forest was different a moment ago. I like the change... there are a lot less monsters around here. And nicer companionship." She reached out as one of the strange, swimming light-creatures came in closer, almost like it was curious.

"What are all these things? They're everywhere, but I can barely seem to get a close look at them."

"Monsters?" He frowned. "I didn't think there were any around here... what kind of forest were you in?" His expression softened then, and he smiled. "Thanks. I'm glad to see you, too."

Ginko looked over at the creature that was coming closer, just as it vanished back into thin air. "They're mushi, I think. But these are acting a little strange..." He frowned at another one, and it seemed to stabilize, become more solid. It looked almost like a bunch of grapes on a stem, each 'grape' throbbing regularly with a faint purplish-red light, almost like a heartbeat.

"There, that's better." He wasn't really sure how that had happened, but wasn't too worried about it, either. "Hnnn..."

went for the rainbow snake man_genius September 25 2011, 00:21:34 UTC
Genius is the furthest thing away from being a 'nature person' (the only rainforest he would ever feel comfortable in is a Rainforest Cafe) so it's no wonder that he appears in Ginko's dream with a frown on his face. Ugh. Outdoors. But it was a dream so his mind naturally went with it, even if he was more than a little perturbed by the situation.

He was edging towards the sound of a small stream, all the while secretly wishing an exit would magically appear in the forest that would lead to an arcade, when suddenly a flicker of light caught his eye. It moved just out of his vision. He turned around and...it was gone again. The hell?

Then he felt something gently touch his wrist.

"ARGH!" His yelp echoed through the woods. OH GOD THERE WAS--

--a tiny rainbow curled around his hand, like a delicate bracelet. It shimmered and moved to twist around his fingers encouragingly.

What the heck was this?

ooooh, nice choice~ iattractmushi September 25 2011, 04:09:11 UTC
Ginko heard the yell; he actually wasn't too far away from the source of it, so he only picked up his pace a little, into something that wasn't quite a trot but was certainly faster than walking. He saw someone a little way in front of him, but in the dimness of the forest it was hard to tell who it was. That, and the person had their back to him.

As he drew closer, the person-shaped blur resolved into a recognizable figure. "Genius?" What was he doing here? But he didn't have time to wonder about it too much. "Are you injured?" Or had he heard someone else cry out?

it sounded pretty man_genius September 25 2011, 22:53:54 UTC
Funny. The rainbow thing kinda tickled. Genius brought his hand closer to his face to get a better look. So shiny.

He was surprised to hear a familiar voice behind him. Cloud? Had they come to the forest together then? This seemed like a logical explanation, since there was no way Genius would come here by himself.

"Ah hi?" He looked a bit sheepish. "Dude, no do you see this? This is awesome! Came out of nowhere but it's so cool." He held out his hand. The rainbow snake slithered up his arm. "Gah that tickles!"

Ginko blinked at Genius' wrist. At least he didn't seem to be injured... he took a step forward as the tiny living ribbon of rainbow snaked its way up the other man's arm. "It caught you?"

Genius' decision that they must have come into the forest together had an interesting effect on Ginko. After a moment more of peering at the snake-like thing twined around Genius' arm, he looked up, expression neutral. "And just what did you think you were doing, wandering off like that? I thought we were going to stay together."
