Reverie had been quiet lately, which was entirely intentional. Keeping to himself had a strange sort of easy safety about it, and though he was neither an easy nor a safe person, the vacation was nice from dealing with the paranoia and defensiveness from Throne, Drake, and the rest of them. He'd spent some time with Tenko, too, who he found he enjoyed the company of even more since seeing him in the memory. The other memory crystal remained, at least, for now, in his pocket ( ... )

The other man's appearance had not gone unnoticed, Seraph's almost-painfully sharp hearing picking up on his subtle movements, the brush of his clothing against itself or the grass... it was strange to be completely unaware of anyone within sight of him. Seraph had yet to change his expression or routine, finishing up the short combination-

Upward slash, downward slash, once again-- And then that strange move that had come to him so easily in the Scavanger's Yard, bringing the blade to the ground and watching the blue shockwaves shoot in a line towards a nearby tree.

He stood back up straight, the blade flourishing, as though to rid it of blood, and sheathign it.

He finally turned to catch Reverie's gaze, eyebrows lifting the faintest amount. "You're awake early." He stated simply, walking casually over. His tone was rather monotonous, though not without a distinct sense of pride. "Do you have a name?" He supposed meeting people would be a good thing.

The sword seemed familiar. He clenched a hand and sat up, crossing his hands in his laps. He was not afraid of Seraph, or the weapon, and he met the man's eyes from his sitting position coolly. "I'm awake every day this early, actually," he said, smiling a little bit. "I'm somewhat of a morning person, it seems, even if the rest of the sphere is not the same. I'm Reverie; it's nice to meet you." He offered a hand.

"I see." His lips curved faintly upwards into what could almost be considered a smile, the head tilting as he looked over the man curiously. "Most of those in the temporary residence seem content to sleep in." After time he had gotten tired of observing their sleep patterns, noting who got up early and who slept in until nine or ten. It was far better to find something productive.

He took the hand in a strong grip, speaking simply: "Seraph. I'm a rather new arrival in this place." he admitted.

After being chased by those damned squirrels and their acorn katamari through half the night, you bet he'd only woken up an hour ago. His hair was a little wet, fresh out of the shower as a yawn overtook him during his happy little stroll through the park. Chosen was considering that, perhaps, he should have considered getting some coffee on the way, but a walk in the cool sunshine worked well ( ... )

...Why had he expected this? Seraph's eyes narrowed at Chosen's arrival, pausing in his movements. "...I am no one's sensei. I have merely agreed to offer advice to those who ask." He said simply, thrusting the sword into its sheath.

"And how have your own skills been developing?" he asked curiously, looking over Chosen with a small frown. He was curious as to the 'wings' that the man claimed he had found, if for no other reason that they seemed to have struck a chord. His lips curved the faintest bit into what could almost be considered a half-smirk.

"Not so well against Squirrels, according to your journal." it seemed that somewhere in the inside he had some sort of sense of humor.

"Hey, hey, those squirrels snuck up on me!" He flushed, not too proud of last night's incident, himself. Nevertheless, the redhead shrugged, the color remaining on his face even when he smirked right back.

"But I'm touched you show concern and a bit of a smile! It's a big change over the usual thumps on my head and scowling," he nodded, giving Seraph a wholehearted thumbs-up. No sooner had he lowered his hand did it meet the hilt of his sword, the man's stance changing a bit.

"I'd be happy to show you what I can do, though," Chosen said with a grin, unshouldering his buckler. "I wouldn't mind a lesson."

"No hitting the head or face, and I'll show the same courtesy to you, Old Man! Captain Duck all ready gave me a goose egg from auditions. I want to come out of this at least a little presentable for No-- The Hunnies of Edensphere!"

As Chosen began readying himself for a fight, Seraph let out a soft sigh, his expression hardening as he deftly drew the sword, extending his arm with the tip of the blade pointed in the direction of Chosen's throat. They were far enough for this to be nothing more than a readying action, Seraph watching the redhead's moves carefully.

"I see. These terms are agreeable." He smirked, the dark eyes locked on Chosen as he brought the sword closer to himself, taking it with both hands. "And will you be making use of those wings you boat of?" he asked, head tilting curiously.

He had seen how Chosen fought- it was similar to his own style, though the redhead definitely had more speed. It would surely make things interesting. "At your discretion." He invited.

Evening and uh we would like to have the pleasure of chatting and maybe stabbity lessons? 1artificialgirl September 6 2008, 20:28:54 UTC
Vanilla had been training like she did every evening. Of course, it was only a matter of time before Seraph and Vanilla met out of the bookstore. It seemed like today was the day. Vanilla had silently walked to his general area and once seeing him she blinked. "...Good evening."

He glanced over at the approaching blonde girl, head tilting. "Hello, there." It was the woman from the bookstore. He had spent quite a few days simply staying there and reading until dusk, pouring over the volumes within. Seeing the girl outside was... pleasant. Mostly because the small girl with her long blonde hair struck some sort of chord within him.

"And what brings you out here?" he set down the journal that he had once again been flipping through, standing up and resting a hand on the hilt of his sword carelessly, as though the relaxed position was ingrained in him.

Vanilla blinked her gaze rather neutral as she gazed at her newly dubbed teacher. The girl was taking a wild guess that this was where he trained. She had quite an alert look about her as she stopped, standing perfectly still and square; to the girl it felt like she had done it hundreds of times before.

"I was training near by and decided to take a walk." Vanilla really hadn't decided where she was going exactly. Eventually she knew that she would head back to the bookstore.

"Training?" He lifted an eyebrow curiously. She was a young girl who ran a bookstore. Though he had expressed interest, he had not expected her to show up for training with a blade.

"It is good to see you outside of the bookstore." He noted, lips curling upwards in an almost-smile. "Are the others running it for you today?" With bok of their expressionless facades, it was difficult to get any interaction other than simple niceties and exchanged words.
