- she woke up with a gasp, and discovered that she was underwater. Underwater! Panicking, she flailed frantically, but her hands and feet didn't touch anything, oh, oh no...!

Gradually, it dawned on her that even though her mouth and throat were full of liquid, she...wasn't choking. Her struggles slowed, turning into puzzled motionlessness, and she floated for a moment, just taking stock of the situation.

It was dark. She couldn't see anything, but she could feel her own hair floating gently in the thick liquid around her. And - she wasn't wearing anything, which made sense if she'd gone swimming, but then why wasn't she drowning? Was she already dead? She didn't feel dead, but what did it feel like?

At that thought, she gave a little shudder and shook her head. She was not dead, and she was going to get out of here. Now that she could tell which way was up, by gravity if nothing else, she began swiftly kicking her way through the liquid towards what had to be the surface, reaching her arms up to feel for the breakthrough ( ... )

Usually dealing with either a male or a female, he'd close his eyes and hold out the towel to the newborn, "Welcome to Edensphere. Do...not...." except this time his eyes hadn't closed all the way. Oh, there was quite a lot of liquid goop and he stepped back away from it.

There was a rare glimpse of surprise on his face when there wasn't anyone in it and entirely goop. He was alarmed. First the cocoons had started to lack in regrowing and now they were empty even when they bursted. It couldn't be. It wasn't worry that lingered on his mind but utter disappointment. Something was happening within the tree and whether they believed it or not, it was true.

"Uuuuh..."

Something huge and wet had landed on her, pinning her legs, and she couldn't move. It didn't hurt, but it didn't feel very good, either, and the light that was striking her eyes was blinding after the darkness of the...of wherever she had been.

Also, she needed to breathe now, which was a problem. Reflexively sucking in a breath, she felt her chest seize and started to cough helplessly. Getting all that thick goop out of such small lungs was...not a fun experience, and her tiny body convulsed with the effort.

He watched the goop spread out across the floor and signed faintly at such a mess it was making, that is until he had to narrow his eyes slightly in confusion. For a moment it was as if his sharp eyes were starting to notice something within the goop, but it was extremely tiny. Curiousity bade him forward and he took the path around the goop to the easiest spot to look closer.

At first reaction, he figued the host had most likely not developed completely and some poor newborn had gotten the sharp end of the knife. Except it was making noise and coughing. If a dragon so massively large could be born then why not something plausbily small. Resigning to setting one hand into the goop, he balanced on his toes outside of it and leaned over, picking up the piece of cocoon.

He smiled gently, putting on that kind and thoughtful mask of expression and spoke softly, "Hello. Welcome to Edensphere. My name is Black."
