A few gathered fruits, vegetables, and spices later, Gai turned and started to head back home before spotting Fred in the crowds. "Fred!" She didn't turn, and he shrugged it off. It was noisy. "Fred!" Still no response, and so Gai went over to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hello! What are you here looking for? Can I help you? But when someone put a hand on her shoulder and started speaking as though they were old friends, Storm couldn't help her reaction. She spun, ducking slightly so his hand slid off her shoulder, and backed away. Her face probably betrayed her surprise, and perhaps a little fear as well. Or I can bring you to my house and you can again meet another two of your friends, my son and my partner. It is up to you."

She gave a brisk nod, after a moment. "Perhaps your house would be better. You can tell me more about Edensphere along the way."

"Then it is this way to the Residential district! We will take an elevator up to it." Gai was about to tell her what an elevator was when he remembered that she came from a place more futuristic than him. She already knew. Covering up his awe and trying not to seem too much like a bumpkin, Gai continued on. "You have a book with you, a journal. When you write in it, or anyone writes in their own, everyone can see. I have a map of this place, too." He ( ... )
