Characters: Ilyigan (favorthebold) and Bellflower (wayofflowers) Date/Time: Backdated to April 30th Location: Wellspring Rating: Up to PG-13 if it gets violent Summary: A more fateful meeting than either party knows.
Bellflower finished up the notes on her last patient, put the file away, and swung by the receptionist's desk to see what other cases had come in in the meantime. Nothing in the urgent stack, it looked like, so she took the first folder in the regular pile, and glanced over the front page as she walked around to the waiting room.
There she was - unmistakable. Ilyigan kept himself composed as he rose from his seat, glad to be done with the room with its funny smells and ailing strangers. He could not openly stare at her, knew he should not even give her an odd look. He knew nothing about her, after all, nothing of what she might sense or be able to see; he did not know if she might recognize him in return, and what might happen then.
"That is me." He stepped forward, cradling his injured hand with more care than he really needed. "Can you treat burns here, doma?" Best if she didn't even know that he knew her name.
She gave the man a polite, friendly smile. He was unfamiliar to her - someone newer, perhaps? No matter. Work was work, after all. "We certainly can. If you follow me, I'll have a look at it, and see if I can treat it or if it's better dealt-with by someone with healing magics."
She turned to head back to where the exam rooms were, and gestured at him to follow.
Healing magics. The shadow of memory darted up in his mind. Yes, healing magics, that was what she had, who she was - yes, he was almost sure of it. Almost. What did it mean?
"Someone like yourself?" he asked with open curiosity as he followed her in. "You will excuse me. I don't know your name." Innocent questions, surely, even if it was hard not to sound too eager.
