A wall. They needed to find a wall if they were to have any hope of getting their bearings. Otherwise they'd have no idea which direction to go in, and would probably end up walking around in circles - not very productive when you're trying to find people who might be lost.

Well, he'd found the wall, luckily with his elbow rather than his nose. He grumbled a few choice words under his breath, but didn't quite dare let go of Cephiro's hand to rub it.
He licked his lips, placing his free hand flat against the surface he couldn't see. "I found a wall," he said, perhaps a little needlessly.

Now, if they could just figure out a way of marking this spot on the wall, they could probably figure out where the elevator was on their way back. Leaning his staff against his body for a moment, he rummaged with his free hand through the bag he had slung over his shoulders. "... And you wouldn't happen to have a knife or something handy, would you?"

He flicked another glance in Cephiro's direction, a useless one, of course. He couldn't seem to stop trying to look through the dark. It was starting to strain his eye, a little...
"I've got a few, yeah." Within easy reach, too. Cloud suspected he knew why Cephiro wanted one--marking their path was the only way they'd be able to find their way back, since they couldn't recognize anything. There was a faint metallic chinging noise as Cloud rummaged through a little pouch strapped to his side. Selecting one of the throwing knives by touch, he felt at the wall for a second, then slammed the blade into the wall. Letting go, he left it embedded there. "...that should just about do it."

"So... this way?" he said, pulling gently on Cloud's hand. "If you keep your hand on the wall, I can use my staff to feel for obstacles. We should be fine, then."
So long as nothing attacks us, he didn't say. He had closed his eyes once it had been established that there was no gettinyg any light in here, but he kept opening them at every stray sound, as though it would do anything.
