A dream within a dream. That's what Nova was experiencing, wrapped up in the loving embrace of her brothers. She'd never even remembered having brothers, and now... Well, now the sensation of their warm arms around her faded away, replaced by the familiar feel of floating, enveloped in a thick membrane. There was no fear or alarm this time; only confusion as to why she was here again.

Careful not to inhale (that was a novice mistake, obviously), Nova stretched out her limbs and punched, rupturing the wall of the cocoon and spilling out onto the cold ground in a gush of the viscous gel. She coughed and balled up her body, wiping her hair from her face so she could breathe. The air was chilly against her wet skin, but she knew the routine. There should be a towel around here somewhere.

Scrubbing at her eyes a final time, she opened them to get a good look around the Hall of Beginnings when she saw-- "Derrick!"

His eyes opened into murky half-light. He blinked, trying to focus on something in the haze. It felt like he was in some sort of... liquid. What the hell? An arm flailed out, trying to figure out which direction was 'surface' - and connected with some sort of weird membrane which split on his touch, dumping him and the liquid it out on a cold floor. The chill made him realize that he was stark-naked. He wiped the... goo out of his face, coughing some of it up and spitting it on the floor. He looked around and saw - was that a girl? Gods help him, this had better be some sort of food-poisoning-induced nightmare.

"Hey, and welcome to Edensphere..."

Rick's greeting died on his lips, and his jaw dropped as he saw a familiar red-haired girl emerging from her cocoon, along with a confused-looking young man with black hair. Nova was someone he'd half-expected to never see again, or if he did, certainly not a Nova who remembered who he was. His heart leapt into his throat, and he almost choked out the next word, hardly daring to believe it.

"Nova..."

He shook his head, forcing himself out of his stupor, definitely feeling more awake now. He offered the two of them towels, making his voice steady.

"Here, get yourselves cleaned up. I know who you are, Nova, but you, young man- my name's Rick. I'm sure you have a lot of questions right now, and I'll do my best to answer them. What can we call you? Is there something you heard or saw in your dream that you can use for a name, maybe?"

There was another one now? Nova looked from Derrick to the young man who had hatched moments after her. Everyone looked sufficiently astonished or bewildered at the situation. What was it she'd heard people say about those who were born together? That they were like siblings in the sphere? Nova snagged the towel out of Rick's hand and stood up on still-wobbly legs, taking careful steps to avoid wiping out on the slick floor. She made short work of cleaning herself off and wrapping herself up, letting her eyes wander over to the boy before flicking away again to preserve their modesty. So he was her new brother, then. It was ironic, in a way, that she would go from a dream about her older brothers directly into becoming a big sister, regardless of whether he looked bigger than her ( ... )

He took the towel, wiped his face and hair off quickly and then wrapped it around his waist - some modesty, at least. The other two people seemed perfectly at ease here, even though this was feeling less and less like a dream. He pinched himself, still hoping to wake up. No luck.

Then the fully-dressed man asked for a name - logic dictated he should have one of those, right? Why couldn't he remember it. "I should have a name..." he said, brow furrowed in thought. "But I don't remember it."
