Ran rocked back and forth on her feet as she stood in front of the elevator, rummaging through her bag. Without a watch, she wasn't sure if she was late to work yet or not, but the sun was positioned almost at its peak which told her she would probably make it down there with time to spare. There was a moment when she panicked, realizing her journal was probably still back at the dorms, before her fingers blindly came in contact with the familiar worn cover, nestled deep in one of the bag's corners.
...check, she finally thinks, breathing a small sigh of relief. With that settled, she reaches to tap the button, watching it light before turning her attention upwards to the small indicator above the door that counted off the floors.
