Summary: Rauxes wanders into Serenity out of curiosity and gets way more than she bargained for -- including a job!

Rain had a good half an hour or so before his next appointment of the day was scheduled, and was about to head out to the Bazaar to grab a quick snack. But the front door opened as he approached it, and he stopped and bowed deeply to the unfamiliar white-haired woman who walked in. Whether he was on a break or not was irrelevant; she was a client (or so he assumed), which automatically entitled her to his respect.

"I do," he responded to her question. "Welcome to Serenity."

He dipped his head in a nod that was almost another bow as the woman introduced herself. What an odd name... He politely kept that thought to himself, though. "My name is Rain. Is there anything I can assist you with?"

Rauxes took note of his formality - and how different it was from Black's, but she supposed that was a cultural difference - but what interested her most was the name. She'd been wondering if that was the name of the establishment or just a feeling they wanted the building to evoke, to draw in customers.

"Is- Ah well, first thing's first. Mr. Rain, I'm new to this place, sort of, and I'm still trying to get my bearings." She pointed behind herself, as if to emphasize her next question, then tugged her braid in front of her and clutched it with both hands. "Is Serenity really the name of this place? Was it named... by or for someone, by chance?"

She truly was still trying to get her bearings, if her body language and her manner of speech were any indication. Rain could read people well when he made the effort to do so, and she seemed uncertain. The question wasn't one he'd ever had to field, though - he'd never given a second thought to the Spa's name - and he considered it for a brief moment before responding.

"It is the name, and I assume it was given by Lady Inara, the owner and founder. As for whether it was named for anyone, I'm afraid I don't know, but I can inquire on your behalf if you wish." He knew from keeping track of his journal that there was currently a Serenity in Edensphere, but she was considerably newer than the Spa was, so surely that wasn't it.

"Lady Inara..." Rauxes breathed the words as if in awe, letting her hands fall to her sides now. "If a lady would see me, I'd be very grateful." It didn't seem entirely common for a lady to own a business... but there was also a man who called himself King, among other oddities in this place. "But only if she's available and I wouldn't be a bother."

Rauxes found a cushioned seat on the floor and quickly knelt on it, folding her legs underneath of her and placing her hands on her thighs. She sat upright, shoulders back and smiling like she was so very proud of herself. For all her unusual appearance and strange name to Rain, the action should have appeared very fluid and natural.

"I'll wait as long as need be."

Juliet had stepped out for a few minutes to make herself a cup of tea before returning to the front. Carrying it with her, she heard Rain's voice and one that...sounded almost familiar. The emotions it conveyed, though, seemed unusual for the thought she had. That could be addressed later, as the main thing was that she hadn't been there to greet her, and that was worthy of a very quiet "damn" under her breath.

Smoothing over the slight irritation at her bad luck, she put on a smile for this person, preparing to apologize and making a note to thank Rain for talking to her. At her appearance, though, she couldn't help but pause in surprise. That...could it be who she thought it was? She seemed different in a way that wasn't instantly placed, and did she even remember? Again the thoughts were beaten down for later and the calm smile back.

"Hello! So sorry for not being here to properly greet you, and welcome to Serenity."
