As soon as Boy had lifted her head and started snarling at the door, Castor had figured there was someone coming over. She had eventually learned to hold off on growling at the people she didn't like until they were close enough (leaving most patrons of the spa alone), and sure enough, moments later there was a knock on the door ( ... )

He was holding up better than she thought he would. He was alive, to begin with, and he just looked-- well. Like he lived on the streets. So nothing new on that front. He was doing well ( ... )

As the bottle was thrown to him he raised his hands quickly, cursing as they bounced off his forearms. The shitty catch was saved, though, as he fumbled and finally managed to find a grip on the bottle before it hit the floor. He stood back up and looked over the label before returning to glaring daggers at the woman as she strode in. By now Boy's growls had died down as she slunk to the far corner of the room, away from Lin with her tail curled under her. Any mentioned of 'Thanks' was omitted as he closed the door again ( ... )

Lin had noticed that Cloud hadn't replied to any of the people trying to talk to him over the journals. But as far as she knew he didn't like having a roof over his head, guessing that he had gone off wandering somewhere wasn't a long shot. She didn't think he was in danger at all, he was used to that and did not have a record for trying to kill himself ( ... )
