Characters: Promise, Nova, Nikki, and OPEN. Date/Time: August 10, afternoon. Location: The wilderness. Rating: G to PG. Summary: Promise and Nova visit the wilderness. Adventures, shenanigans, and unexpected meetings ensue.
By this point, Nova had been spending more time in Tokyo than she had at her own home. There was so much -- perhaps too much -- to see and do, and she knew that it probably wouldn't be possible to experience it all before a new Wilderness appeared. She'd just have to make the best of it while she had the chance!
Once she was done with work for the day, she'd agreed to meet Promise at the elevator so they could head down together. Nova liked Promise a lot, and bonus points because she was Derrick's daughter, since Nova held Derrick in such high regard. It had made her inexplicably pleased when she saw the other teen was actually a redhead like her, though perhaps not quite as red. It added to the feeling that they had some tangible thing in common.
Nova waved happily when she approached the elevator, spotting the taller girl waiting for her there. "Hey, Promise! Are you ready to go?" she chirped happily as she drew near.
Nikki was never quite sure what to do with a day off. True, she never had a lot to do while she was on-shift, but at least she felt like she knew where she needed to be and what she was supposed to be doing. When she had a free afternoon she always felt a bit like she was floundering. She wanted to find out more about this place, but she'd been warned by several people that learning too much was dangerous

It wasn't long before Nova showed up and made her presence known with a friendly wave and equally friendly greeting. "Hey, Nova! You bet I am! This place sounds great

Nova shook her head and smiled cheerfully. The lady seemed friendly, and they could always use another companion. "The more, the merrier. It'll be fun!"
She pushed the button to call the elevator and turned back to the other two. "Have you been down yet?" she asked the older woman, looking up at her, as with most everyone else in the sphere. Realizing quickly that she had no idea who this person was, she decided to start the introductions.
"Ah! I'm Nova, by the way," she said, pointing at her face with a grin.
About the same time the girl with the strawberry-blonde hair had been swept with a wave of something like deja-vu, Nikki herself had been suddenly stricken with a similar peculiar feeling. It was not unlike the feeling she'd had when she'd looked Derrick in the eye the day she'd been born in the Sphere, and with that in mind she had to suppose that she knew this girl somehow. How strange, the way the spirit had ways of remembering that which the mind could not. The girl smiled broadly, her cheeks dimpling faintly, and Nikki found herself smiling just as broadly in return
