People explain things to Allen Gray? Heaven forbid.

Though perhaps a bit later than expected (Scribbled directions don't work so well. Yeah, blaming the directions.), Gray did find his way to Dash's home. Pausing for a moment to marvel at the sheer difference of this level from his and the ones he had been on, he frowned lightly at the door. Nothing really seemed to.. fit still and the strange message from Dash earlier only had him further unsettled about this whole ordeal.

What could he possibly have for him?

But standing outside was just stupid.

Exhaling quietly even as an ear (ugh, ear) twitched a bit in irritation, Gray rapped a knock on the door with his right hand.

Food sounded like a really, really good idea, too.

Dash finished his pizza slice and hopped to his feet, padding barefoot to the door. It had to be Gray, no one else would knock that politely, right? Twisting the door knob the speedster opened the door and lo and behold, there Gray was.

Flapping frantically, Timcampy took off from its nest in Dash's hair, shooting like a little metal bullet to go fly around Gray two, three times, before landing on the other teen's shoulder and nuzzling him, one small hand reaching to touch Gray. Dash's lips twitched in something that wasn't a smile.

"Someone missed you. C'mon in, we got stuff to talk about." Taking a step back, out of the doorway, Dash motioned for Gray to enter.

Though he smiled politely when the door opened, before he could even get a greeting out he was surrounded by whirling, feathered... gold?

Um. What-

Gray startled at the sudden, staring in utter shock and remembrance for a moment. His dream; the creature looped around the not-him's neck. Could it-? He hadn't seen anything else like it yet.

But stronger than that was the familiarity of little hands always patting. Wait, or was that biting?

"Timcanpy?" he blurted out suddenly, remembering it from the dream. Its name? Species?

From how that sent the golem into more frantic snuggling, it didn't seem to matter. Smiling somewhat inexplicably, he raised a hand to the frantic creature on his shoulder and cupped it lightly.

No worries! reckless_rebel August 5 2010, 08:51:54 UTC
Dash watched Gray and Timcampy reunite. He was a little surprised Gray knew the golem's name, but maybe that wasn't so shocking. Tim was basically Allen's inseparable, loyal companion, Gray probably remembered the name or dreamed it. Or maybe Rabbit had mentioned it. Whatever the case, it hardly mattered, this was the happiest Tim had been since Cross disappeared, and Dash couldn't blame the little golem ( ... )

That... wasn't a bombshell or anything. Or five. Maybe ten. Kind of felt like ten.

Dry-mouthed as he tried to process that, Gray lingered for a moment near the door, a hand still on Timcanpy almost in instinctive support of himself as much as petting the creature. In the tree before-

He glanced aside a bit quickly. "I was starting to wonder as much," he said finally after a moment, a bit quietly but with a clench of his jaw. Was that... two sets of memories gone? He remembered Timcanpy, but not him (it was a him; something in Gray felt certain of that) being in this place. Or Dash at all. Rabbit he felt some connection and familiarity with but nothing else, though the redhead had said they knew each other before the tree and had seemed so familiar with Gray that it gave him pause, given how awkward Gray had felt at least initially because of the strange memory situation. Although maybe that was just how Rabbit was, too.

It irritated him as well, though. This was important. His life, his memories. His. Couldn't you have told him a ( ... )
