The redhead felt exhausted. Burn, then Silent Hill, then Fugue. It was insane, how much pressure this place put on him. So the mysterious entry caught his eye, and he hoped that for once it would actually be something happy, an actual parade. Even if it was about his brother's death. He could use a smile.

Going down to the Bazaar was a good idea, perhaps Sailormoon was around and would chat. She was always so cheery.

The thoughts stopped when he saw the confetti. So this was their snowfall in July? All the colors...all the bright colors being such a small comfort. No sadistic double meanings, no evil had been in the words. Just this, a celebration.

He remembered the red inked word. Dance! Could he, in this colored paper snow, with no music but what he hummed?

Yes, yes he could. There was nothing left to do but. So it began.

For once, it seemed like a downright celebration! And there was dancing! and confetti!

There was no sign of who might have started it, but just as Juliet started dancing, there was a loud POP for firecrackers going off, and something was thrown at him! What was that, why, it was a bundle that was sloppily gift-wrapped in paper with stars and pirates on it!

The first thing through Juliet's mind is gunshot, but it's not loud enough. Turning, he catches the package as it smacks him in the face. Doesn't hurt though, it feels soft...

Shrugging, he undoes the wrapping. The hoodie gets a few blinks. Who is "Nottoushi"? Juliet can't help but chuckle at the socks."You've got something with socks, don't you..."

The box last. Opening the top, the familiar blue sparkles at him. He won't touch it now, that's risky. But the gift does bring a smile to his face.

"Thank you..." Said to no one, meant for the mysterious benefactor. He could truly dance now.

Prince had seen the entry, talked with whatever shithead had been on the other side of the journal, and all in all hadn't found much besides tiny snippets of information. Not a completely wasted effort, but neither did it weight heavily on his mind.

While in the kitchen, he even forgot about it.

But forgetting was a lot harder to pull off when the sky rained confetti, as he found on his break. One step outside and the little bastards were everywhere: in his hair, on his clothes, a few making their way into his pockets...

The chef grunted and pulled out a cigarette, unperturbed for the most part. Outside indeed. He was gonna enjoy his break and his smoke, either way, watching the paper fall outside Smoke's Bar.

With the sound of a party noise-maker going off, Prince would have found something descending from the ceiling- a memory crystal tied to a little parachute.

... Hadn't seen that one before.

After a quick glance to make sure no one was looking, Prince snatched the crystal out of the air by the end, wrapping it in the parachute and sliding it away in his jacket with one smooth motion. Crystal, what crystal?

He'd find out what it was later - for now he just enjoyed the rest of his cigarette, content that this celebration hadn't been a complete waste of his time.

After receiving his odd little gift, Cloud had tucked it into his ever-present backpack before continuing to the headquarters. And now that he was done with that, he was walking slowly through the Bazaar, watching the confetti flutter downward. Again, it brought to mind snow... oddly colorful snow, but snow all the same ( ... )

Youth went looking for the mentioned parade and paper, even though he wasn't sure it would happen. If it was happening he would check it out before his son or his partner was exposed. Sure enough, there was paper raining from the sky, going everywhere. He caught one of the cranes, looking at it, studying the folds.

What was the point? It was pretty, yes. But how did you look past the surface of paper? There had to be something he just wasn't getting, and Youth started to feel just a bit stupid.

No matter how hard Youth was looking, the minute he looked away the paper crane suddenly came alive in his hand. It squawked indignantly and began to poke at his hand.

He'd looked up to see the other shapes that were falling from the sky and nearly jumped when it moved. Gently he cupped the fragile bird, trying not to harm it while getting a good look at it. It didn't seem dangerous. Of course, there was no telling what things would be as they seemed.

"Hello." Yes. He was talking to a paper bird. "You are very elegantly made. Are you automated, or alive?" With care he opened his hands, giving it a chance to take off if it so desired. Instead of any response, the bird coughed up another piece of paper and took off.

Youth stared after it for a solid minute before turning his gaze back to what had been left behind. It was a ticket to something, and he dimly remembered talk about them before. Though no one had said what the show was.

True to his word to Locket, after getting off his shift at the Clinic, Cloud headed over toward the Bazaar and the Adventurer's Headquarters located there. As he was crossing the bridge from Wellspring he thought he saw something a little odd--but it wasn't until he actually got into the Bazaar proper that he really understood what he was seeing.

Paper. Little bits and twists and ribbons of paper, in all colors, falling from... somewhere like a strangely warm snowstorm. He held out one of his hands--almost like he was testing to see if it was raining--and a little paper crane fell into his palm. He turned it over in his fingers... it was green and very well-made.

"...huh."

At his feet, a small package was chucked, wrapped up in paper with unicorns and rainbows, though the wrapping looked like it was hastily done.

Cloud saw the thing come flying his way out of the corner of his eye, and stopped in his tracks. He absently tucked the little paper crane away into his pocket as he turned his attention to the package at his feet.

He nudged it gently with the toe of one shoe a few times before he was sure it wasn't alive or about to attack him or anything--this was Edensphere, after all. Finally, he bent down to pick it up. Whoever had wrapped it in the paper had done a pretty poor job... the stuff inside the package threatened to fall out almost before he'd finished straightening up. He ripped the paper away carefully to reveal...

"...the hell is this?" The package contained a pointy brightly-colored cone made of stiff paper-like stuff with a flat sort of string attached to two 'sides' of it. It also contained another package. This one was made of some kind of thin, see-through wrapping that clearly showed what it contained. Some kind of blue stuff, with... were those pictures of fish? He peered at the writing on the package for a moment.

...Damn. There really was a celebration. Gene was so used to the rainbow writers talking in code and symbolism that he hadn't expected anything so material.

But then, why not? The 'King' or the 'Mayor' was away, wasn't he? If that meant what Gene thought it did, it stood to reason that the CPA could stand to be more literal.

That wasn't the only change going on. There had been many disappearances to go along with that one death. Were things in the Sphere shifting? And if so, was it for better or worse? If there was any place to find out, this was it. Gene held out his hand to catch a bit of the confetti falling down, keeping his eyes peeled for anything... noteworthy, anything strange while he walked around.

After a short bit of walking, Gene would certainly come across something strange! Walking through the bazaar, heading toward him, was a round black thing. Once he cmoes closer, he can make it what it is- a wind-up Bob-omb!

Huh. He follows it for a bit and sees that it looks like a harmless wind-up toy, but. It does still look like a bomb and he can't be sure if it'll explode into confetti or something more dangerous. After a bit of contemplation, Gene nudges it with the toe of his boot.

The little Bob-omb falls over, its legs still walking but to no avail! But when it falls over, there's a small tinkling sound coming from the inside, like metal on metal, almost like a little bell!
