Having quickly picked up a pork bun from the Bazaar and returned to the Spa, Rain was seated outside, enjoying some downtime between clients. It was hard to miss the approach of a gigantic puppy, but he still wasn't prepared to suddenly have its nose all over him and his snack. He was holding the bun away at arm's length and trying to push the persistent dog away with his free hand when Castor caught up.

Both Castor and Boy got a bit of a glare, but one more of annoyance than anger. Rain had nothing against dogs, but he didn't have any particular fondness for then either, and with Reaper's recent acquisition of a puppy Rain had been putting up with enough of this at home.

"Get your own damn snack," he directed at Boy, and then to Castor he said, "How big is this thing going to get?"

Damn it. He placed a hand on one side of the dog's head, turning her nose away from Rain and his food. "Hey," Castor spoke to the dog sharply, eyes narrowed. "Don't do that shit." The dog's ears moved down with a short whine, before she turned back to Raine- rather than bound all over him, though, she simply leaned forward from where she sat, sniffing the air about him-- which was probably better than shoving her nose in his personal space ( ... )

With Boy removed from his personal space, Rain went back to eating his pork bun, but not before breaking off a piece that she's managed to wipe her nose on and dropping it on the ground for her. As if he wanted to eat it after that.

He shook his head slightly at Castor's apology. "I should be used to it. My roommate just picked up a stray." One that was considerably smaller, but equally... friendly. Why did dogs seem to like him so much? It wasn't as though he went out of his way to be nice to them. Honestly, he didn't have the slightest clue what to do with them.

And Castor certainly seemed to have his hands full with this one. He chewed thoughtfully for a moment, before asking, "Is it much trouble to take care of it?"

He may as well get some idea of what he and Reaper might be in for, after all. Rain didn't like being clueless about things, and especially not things that lived with him and seemed to like him for some reason.

Again boy strained at the leash, but Castor held her back, grabbing the piece of pork bun from the ground. The dog whined, but he seemed to ignore it. "Oh yeah? He just take it home?" It wasn't unlike how he had found Boy in the park-- Hell, maybe stray animals just sort of came into existence in the Tree much like the people ( ... )
