Feel free to let me know if the random log comment is unwanted, but I just wanted to pop up and letcha know this was a very enjoyable read. I think you did the pacing just right. And, on a sidenote, the uniform and journal square bit were pretty genius.

Aww, thank you!

It's. Uh. I stole the uniform idea from a later point in canon, including the part where it's not convincing.

You're very welcome!

Haha, still. Both of those things were great. Very slick, I thought, in their own way. xD

Biggs received the message and after a brief scribble of affirmation, he wound his way down to the Wilderness and then through the strange amusement park. He wasn't against them in principle, really. He just didn't like them all that much - the false cheer, the huge amount of people. It just ran counter to his cynical nature. He got turned around once or twice and had to backtrack. Way too easy to get lost in here.

He managed to pick his way through the crowds of mannequins - they weren't hard to get around, after all. He spotted Lead easily enough and he raised his hand in a lazy greeting as he approached. "What's all this broo-haha about, Lead?"

Rogue met him some ways from the attraction itself, nodding when he saw him. "Four. There's a simulator here that's... well, better that you see it. Follow me."

He was wearing his coat again, this time over the uniform, with his civvies in the pocket. They didn't fold as tightly as the uniform, so it looked like there was padding over his shoulderblades.

"The walker's fake," he said almost casually a minute or so later.

Biggs nodded and fell in on Lead's "wing" as they moved through the crowd. The fake walker gave him pause for a moment. Just the sight of it sent a familiar feeling of dread creeping up his spine. There was something about it.... He shook it off and nodded.

"Too bad. It'd be interesting to drive around this place for a bit."

"There are grappling hooks in the belts on that armor we took from the city in the desert," Rogue Leader said, tilting his head back to watch the immobile fake walker spray mist from its "cannons" into passersby. The mannequins didn't seem to notice, but a real person yelped and giggled. "But we'd have trouble getting it to start, unless someone was forgetful enough to leave it active." This was his closest equivalent to making a keys-left-in-the-ignition joke.

"This attraction is called 'Star Tours'," he continued, starting forward again. "All of the attractions in this Wilderness are fake, and this one's pretending to be a touring or travel agency. With a long que. As you can see, it's crowded."

He shucked his jacket and held it out, smoothing out the uniform with his other hand. "Hold this, will you? I think I can get you through the line to the interesting parts."
