The Tribbles had vanished by the time he had woken up, leaving him with a sense of loss. He was probably one of the rare few in the sphere that had LIKED the rapidly multiplying creatures and he'd grown quickly attached to them. He'd hoped that maybe a few of them would stay when they inevitably disappeared like most random things in the sphere. But alas there was not a furball in sight.
So Genius was going to drown his sorrows in...cookies. Maybe some muffins and a brownie. He was walking with his head down through the crowds not watching where he was going.

The Bazaar was usually pretty crowded, and it wasn't unusual for people to bump into one another. Eternity never really paid it much mind and, in fact, liked to take advantage of those opportunities to see how people's various reactions. There were enough people who were weirded or creeped out by him; a lot of people would prefer to avoid him. From time to time, he'd find someone of interest.
So he let this guy crash into him ( ... )

Genius winced as he walked into a nice wall of muscle. He looked up--and then up some more. The first thing he noticed was white hair, just like Bell, only there was a lot more. Funny how the similarity hit him first because the stranger's eyes were nothing like Bell's. They were intense and focused as though the stranger was staring at him like he was some interesting specimen.
Not a great first impression surely. "I should. And yet there's plenty of room to walk around someone who is distracted, friend," Genius replied with a bit of false bravo.
There was something about this man's gaze. It was...kinda familiar.

That, and Eternity was vaguely curious as to what the stranger thought. He noted the other wasn't entirely disturbed or intimidated and seemed even slightly intrigued about... something. Even if he didn't find out exactly what it was right now, Eternity figured he could bide his time. There were always random encounter opportunities in the future, after all.
"You make it sound like I walked into you on purpose," he replied with a small smirk. Then he stepped aside, allowing the other to pass while adding, "It isn't safe to be distracted when going through a crowded area."

--was that someone calling out to him? Eternity snorted quietly and continued. The only one who'd called (or written) him with such urgency was Paladin, and he was certain that wasn't his brother's voice. But when he heard the hurried footsteps closing in behind him, he couldn't help but wonder and quickly whipped around to see...
...he had no idea who this man was, so it probably was some kind of mistake. One which Eternity found somewhat amusing.
Managing to keep traces of amusement out of both expressions and voice, he asked, "... Is there something I can help you with?"

Caught for a moment, he cleared his throat, fighting back the faint blush of surprise. "...I'm sorry," he shook his head. He couldn't exactly say "I thought you were the girl I think I love" now could he. Instead he settled on on the more. "I thought you were someone I might of known." His brows came together and he nodded as an apology. "It's difficult to locate people from back home with the amnesia.."
Yes, this had been a mistake... but he didn't want to just rudely leave the man. perhaps he could offer to assist in carrying something? or just be told to leave.

"I see--it's understandable. Sometimes there are similarities among what we find here and the vaguest hints of memories we have left. It's natural for one to seek these and determine whether it's what, or who, we're searching for." A pause as he looked away for a moment. "I... apologize that I'm not who you were looking for. If I knew what similarities there were among us, perhaps I could help you in your search..."
He trailed off since he didn't know the other man's name. Granted, it wasn't like he'd properly introduced himself, either.

Sometimes it's as if a one could feel another person staring at them. He checks, and whoever was doing it quickly averts his gaze because it's not acceptable to stare. Similarly, Eternity felt like someone was looking at him. Perhaps staring, or maybe studying him from afar.
Finally he turned around and noted the lazy figure on the bench he'd been passing. He did a quick study of the man, but there wasn't anything particularly striking about him.
After a short pause, he eventually asked, "Can I help you with something?"

He noted that the man had seemed disturbed by something even before he turned to look behind him. Had he sensed Cloud watching him? Very interesting indeed.
He placidly let the other man study him, leaning forward a little to rest one elbow on his knee and cup his chin in his hand. He took his cigarette out with the other hand, holding it as he exhaled a cloud of smoke. "Not really. I just noticed you passing by, that's all." He paused for a second. Talking with this guy would be a nice distraction from doing nothing. "Going anywhere in particular?"

In Eternity's case, he'd typically found something about the situation relatively amusing. Every so often, there'd be someone who'd strike him as vaguely interesting, and he'd at least like to remember what that person looked like in case he didn't catch the name.
"Not really," he replied. "Just doing a little exploration."
Eternity's presence didn't seem to bother the other man--not that he had a problem with situations like this. In fact, that made things even slightly interesting.
"And you--watching things in your free time?"

Sylvar didn't flush when he spoke - the capillaries in her skin worked right, but her pigmentation and hairs hid the redness. Heat did start radiating off of her, her heart rate picked up, and she had a sickening lurch in her stomach. She wasn't ready for this - wherever the thought came from she didn't know, but it was true.
Do not look at me, she thought, staring fixedly at his hair, the back of his head, and found her lips moving with the words, though she didn't say them. When he moved she quickly looked away, at the ceiling. There was what looked like a hatch on it, though a longer look showed that it was just a panel fixed to the ceiling and made to look like a hatch. She wished it wasn't, and looked to the side, then down at her gloved hands. He was there at the edges of her vision. She didn't blink ( ... )

He was civil enough and wasn't an immediate threat at present if only because of the memory loss. His anger, rage, and wrath were toward everyone, but extremely focused on one person. His target for now was Paladin, though this would only be temporary so long as Eternity couldn't remember who it really was. Not remembering, not knowing, and not having control--these were all things that diverted his attention from unleashing his hatred on everything.
"Of course, correct me if I'm mistaken," Eternity added as an afterthought.

Recent events had given him plenty to brood about. The memory crystal had given him no clear answers about who he was, only more questions. Then there'd been those cryptic messages in the journal, and now the business with Simon. Rain had been warned that those who learned too much could be killed off, but this was the first time since his arrival here that it had actually happened, at least as far as he was aware. He hadn't known Simon outside of the first aid class, so he couldn't say he was terribly grieved, but it was troubling nonetheless. It was a clear reminder of just how subject they all were to this place's whims, and it was frustrating. He needed more information, but how ( ... )

Rain's right hand moved another half-inch before he forcibly stilled it, scolding himself mentally. He had no good reason to draw a weapon, or even to feel threatened. The fact that he felt more secure with a kunai in his hand was not a good excuse to whip one out (or reveal that he had one, for that matter). Besides, with any luck, the stranger would simply continue on his way ( ... )

It wasn't just his hunting ground, though; it was also part of his exploration. He didn't stop at just wandering the islands, the scavenger's yard, or the wilderness. One of the places he frequented most happened to be the various branches, away from the residences. With exploration came thoughts--questions that didn't always have answers. So hunting and exploring were both good for thinking.
Of course, just sitting around and thinking like this man was doing were also just as well. It was just different from Eternity's way of doing things.
Still carefully checking his surroundings, he added, "It's well away from the residences to prevent causing any harm... And it helps me think, as well."
