Characters: Bridge handy_psychic and Light suffercircuit Date/Time: March 30th, evening Location: Smoke's Tavern Rating: G Summary: Light wants to be a Scavenger, so he goes to interview with the boss man.
Scavenging, admittedly, didn't really seem like it'd matched up with what he'd done before being dropped in the Sphere. But even if it lacked familiarity, it wasn't an unappealing job-- in fact, if his dream was any indication of his earlier life, being a Scavenger sounded far better.
But that wasn't here or now. Shaking the memory out of his head, Light entered the tavern and scanned over the customers out of the corners of his eyes. Looking lost all the time really was getting old.
He spotted Logan first and tensed, a small spark of that ominous familiarity in the back of his mind. He eyed it and its master with some caution; was this the man he was supposed to meet?
Logan spotted someone walking towards them, dropped the hedgehog and mooed loudly, wagging his tail. Bridge shook his head at the dog, then smiled at the young man.
"If you're Light, you've come to the right place. And even if not, you still may have come to the right place... unless, of course, it's the wrong place and you wanted to be somewhere aside from Smoke's, looking to interview for a job."
Light looked down at Logan: first, he had to resist an instinct to take a step back. But when it 'spoke,' he looked a bit startled. It made him realize how silly he was being; the dog was clearly harmless. In fact, it was sort of... cute. His eyes go soft for a second, a small smile easing onto his face.
But it only lasts a second. He straightens up again as Bridge speaks, listening intently before he starts his reply. "Yes, that's me," his speech is polite, if not a little formal for the setting. "I appreciate you agreeing to meet like this."
[[OOC: Ha! Maverick had the same problem when he met Logan.]]Bridge stifled a laugh at Light's apparent confusion, waving him to a chair across the table
