Maybe her basket load had been a little too full, but Stardust was a hardworking girl and she intended to do her best in whatever task was given to her. Innovator had suggested this job to her, after all, and she wasn't about to let anyone down (though at the back of her mind there was still the nagging feeling that something was off about the green-haired man, which only made her feel slightly guilty because he had been nothing but helpful to her ever since she had arrived).

Her face brightened as she spotted one of the other housekeeping personnel also inside the laundry room. Pushing the basket in the direction of the younger (she assumed) girl, she put on a smile and decided to start up a conversation.

"Do you need some help?"

00 didn't look up at the sound of another basket being rolled into the room, not until the woman addressed her directly. As there were no other staff members present at this moment, the only conclusion was that she was the one being spoken to.

"No," she said, continuing to sort out the laundry in her basket. But the woman was smiling. Why? Laundry wasn't something she had seen her coworkers smiling about.

Maybe she was using it as an excuse to make contact--talk to her. But... why? "I am now experienced in sorting laundry property," she said, unsure if such elaboration would help. She had found socializing to be... thoughtlessly simple when she had been reduced to a child's body. Now, it was only slightly less mystifying than it had been before.

Stardust's smile widened at the response, and she almost looked as if she was about to laugh. That's a... strange way to put it, but it did address the point, after all. "That's good, isn't it?"

She began separating the clothes into colors and whites as well, blushing slightly as she pulled out a pair of men's underwear from the basket. She hurriedly dumped that into a new pile and pulled out a new piece of clothing. "H-How are you today?"

00 wordlessly picked up the undergarment that Stardust had hastily dropped and put it into the correct pile. She watched Stardust's smile out of the corner of her eye--was the woman mocking her? But her tone wasn't derisive. It seemed like she was attempting to be polite.

How was she... "I am fit for duty," she said, speaking an answer that seemed to come automatically to her lips. Fit for duty in combat. But this is not combat. There is nothing remotely combative about laundry. Being fit for duty here was not very important.

This was--conversation. 00 had grown a little more at ease with it, but feeling her way around it was still akin to walking through a cluttered room blindfolded. So many things to stumble over and walls to walk into... but maybe... she would try. "How are you?"

Fit for duty. She wanted to say that she knew someone who spoke in a similar manner, but she didn't really know who. It wasn't someone she encountered in Edensphere, at least. Perhaps it was one of those instances that would only remain a familiar feeling until such time she remembered the people in her world again.

She was glad the other girl was speaking, though. And asking how she was. That was good, wasn't it? "I am doing well. This place is rather strange, but... I think it's nice, for the most part."
