ooc: Adventurer! Go apply for an adventurer! Either way, come live with Sora. shiroi_memory November 29 2009, 22:55:53 UTC
The blond was standing nearby, ready to buy himself an ice cream bar and promising himself that he would ask the vendor if he could make sea-salt ice cream. He didn't really come up with it on his own, he'd spilled salt in his vanilla ice cream by mistake... and boy did it taste good. Something about the salty-sweetness tugged at his mind. Hard.

It was hard to kick the feeling that he'd had it before.

Sora purchased his bar and stood out near a red-headed man, unwrapping it and taking a bite out of the corner, much like the other man had earlier.

Lea's hoping to find a couch he can occupy. XD but he's considering Adventurer in a pinch. seeya_next_life November 29 2009, 23:21:48 UTC
The ice cream was good--it had been good last time, too, so he hadn't really expected anything different. It wasn't quite right though; something about ice cream bars tweaked at a loose thread somewhere in the back of his mind, but it wasn't the right...flavor. Literally, perhaps. He didn't have the money to try them all, though, unfortunately, and so he'd tried chocolate first, and strawberry this time, but while they had both been pretty tasty, they weren't right.

He glanced to the side when a kid with whorled yellow hair came to stand not far from him, an ice cream bar in his hand as well. Lea had been about to take another bite of his ice cream, but slowly pulled it away from his mouth when that tweaked thread sent another strange ethereal shiver up his spine, like when one hair got pulled too tight in a ponytail.

Staring at the boy a moment, Lea shook his head quickly, bit off the other corner of his ice cream bar, and then turned to look at him.

"Have we met?" he asked, canting his head. He was pretty sure he hadn't met ( ... )

The boy looked up from his icecream, a befuddled look on his face after a moment of looking at the redhead that disappeared quickly, replaced with a smile. "No I don't think so. My name is Sora--what's yours?"

His mind was urging him to think about it more, to try and remember who this man was. He felt like he should know--but couldn't pinpoint the memory...

"Ah!" Lea snapped the fingers of his free hand and pointed at the boy. "Sora! Hey, I'm Lea; we talked on the journals a while back." He grinned broadly. "Nice to meet you in person!"

Having a face to put with the name to match with the handwriting was always helpful, after all. Taking another bite of his ice cream bar, he canted his head and looked at Sora.

"You know, I never did find that nannerpus," he said, chuckling, "which is a shame, because I'm pretty sure I do like pancakes. Though I don't remember for sure." He waved his ice cream. "I know I like this stuff, though. Pity this is the last one I'll have for a while."

Memories were expendable here, it seemed. What you think you know... verses what you actually know... it was so difficult to think about. He looked up at the mention of last icecreams and thought it was a crime against nature to say such a thing.

"Why?" He pressed thoughts of actual vs created memories to the back of his mind for the time being while he licked at the creamy ice bar. He looked sideways at the other man and blinked. "Can't you have more?"

"Oh, I could have more," Lea said, frowning a bit; "it's not like I'm not allowed to. I'm just out of money." He chuckled helplessly. "I gotta get a job by tomorrow or I'm getting evicted from temporary housing. I'm amazed my money lasted this long, actually. I heard it's only supposed to last a week." He plucked at his tee-shirt. "But I guess I don't eat much."

Well that was the understatement of the week. He didn't have an ounce of fat below his head.
