"Yo, Me-chan ♥" Rabbit greeted the other, completely unfazed by Eyepatch's expected intrusion. Rabbit had heard the door open without a knock, expecting only one of two people to enter. Anyone else would probably have been met with a broomstick. Thankfully it was one of them. The other would have been his roommate, Apollo.

"Coffee?" The Bookman offered Eyepatch instant coffee in a juice glass. He hadn't bothered to buy new coffee mugs since they disappeared months ago. Something would always happen to the mugs so he simply never cared to replace them. Eventually, he told himself, but he always found something more interesting to distract himself with.

I'm kinda winging the layout here. If it's wrong, PM me, and I'll fix it! smokesordie November 23 2009, 23:34:15 UTC
Eyepatch nodded then spotted the juice glasses. He chuckled. "Man, that is so ghetto." Not that he was complaining.

Strolling over to the table, he flopped down into the chair. His arms hung lazily over the rests, and he propped a foot against the table edge. While he awaited the coffee, the question remained: should he beat around the bush a little or get the point and get it over with?

"It's a juice glass," Rabbit replied, completely missing the definition of 'ghetto'. Whatever the case, it still held coffee just as well as any other type of glass as he set it down in front of Eyepatch. He could take it if he wanted. It was still coffee.

Rabbit flopped down at the table as well with his glass and a bowl of sugar, dumping several scoops in to disguise how much worse this coffee was than the coffee at Med. Wellspring. Whatever. Same place.

"Exactly. Usually, just usually anyway, people use those for, y'know, juice." Rabbit's unfamiliarity to slang made it all the more amusing, which overrode any potential tension he anticipated.

Momentarily, anyway.

Eyepatch took his glass when Rabbit sat down, grabbing a spoon and heaping a ton of sugar into his as well. He didn't really care though. As long as it had caffeine.

But dammit, when it got silent, his thoughts automatically wandered over to the dream he had last night. "So..." Yeah, this was awkward. It was inevitable. Fuck it, he was just going to say it: "I think I had your dream last night."

Rabbit nearly dropped the sugar spoon he was playing with between his fingers and the glass as well. It seemed only fair that Eyepatch would get Rabbit's dream as the reverse was already true. But there was so much in there Rabbit did not want anyone to know and for some reason felt no one should know in the first place. Even as euphoric as the stupid thing was, it was still pretty revealing.

Only watching. Keeping a distance. Watching their history. Wanting to be with everyone but had to stay behind. Pretty revealing, right?

So was the part where it sounded like he changed names like a pair of socks.

"Oh yeah?" He forced a marginally pleasant expression across his features.
