Characters: Spirit (feyandco) and Kazahana (snowburned) Date/Time: August 22, afternoon Location: The Wilderness/Holltwood Rating: PG Summary: All ladies like shopping, right? Well, that's what they're doing anyway.
What a great city this was! Bright and cheerful, so different from her own small, admittedly kind of lonely apartment. Spirit felt entirely at home here, though she wasn't sure why. She wasn't brooding over it, though--instead she was taking advantage of the city's strange appearance to explore, shop and enjoy herself.
Admiring the dresses in a store window, she smiled as the short, black-haired woman beside her spoke up. "I agree completely. Anyway, everyone needs to indulge once in a while. You'd look great in that yellow dress, I bet," she added.
"Really?" Kazahana peered at it. It was awfully cute, but... "It's a little short," she said skeptically. "But maybe not on me." Considering that she, too, was a little short. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but she wasn't blind to the effects of her height.
"You should try on that blue one," she said, pointing. "If I'm qualified to give fashion advice." She chuckled. "Oh--I'm Kazahana."
"That's true." The other woman was rather small. Spirit grinned. "Besides, what's wrong with short?"
She looked at the dress Kazahana had pointed out and nodded enthusiastically. "That one's gorgeous. I guess I could get a dress for dating." She looked back at her companion as she recognized the name. "Kazahana...oh! You're Phoenix's girlfriend! I'm Spirit."
There was short, and then there was short, and she didn't want to have to worry about what might happen when she sat down. She was about to say this out loud, but the woman's next words caught her off guard. "Oh! Yes." Kazahana nodded. She was more often known as 'the medic' than 'the girlfriend', but then she was surprised even more.
This was Spirit? Kazahana had liked her well enough over the journals, but then Phoenix had mentioned to her that he'd recognized the woman when she'd hatched--that she'd been from his world, someone important to him. Ever since then she'd wondered what Spirit was like; it looked like she'd have the chance to find out now.
"He told me about you," she said, smiling. "A little, anyway--that he knew you. I'm glad to meet you in person."
Spirit hadn't had any need of a medic yet, but she was interested in Kazahana the girlfriend. Anyone close to Phoenix interested her, partly because she couldn't help wondering if there might be a connection to her by extension.
"Yes, it seems we have some sort of mysterious shared past," she said with a chuckle, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "It's good to meet you too." She offered a hand to shake.
