But he was so out of it that he managed to fumble some of the extra napkins he was carrying by the bar stools. There they went, into a nice mess on the floor, right by a patron's foot.
"Damnit." He sighed. "Sorry buddy. My bad."

"Might wanna slow down before you hurt yourself," he said, an easy grin springing to his face. It was as easy as simply putting on a nice set of clothing, Grift found, and it was an expression his face simply melted into. The napkins were duly placed onto the bar and Grift's idle hands plucked one from the top, folding it into a loose paper hat and placing it on his head. His skewed reflection stared back at him from the half empty beer glass, and he gave the thing a rakish tilt.

Fallen?
No. No of course it wasn't--God, but there was something of Special in this man, something about how he carried himself that instantly reminded Ghost of his dead friend. Dead and not yet returned, not like how Clé had come and gone.
He tried to banish the depressing thoughts, but the sadness most likely lingered in his eyes. "Thanks man. ...Nice hat." Definitely not Fallen, this one was a bit silly.
"Ha. Errand boy? If Smoke ever called me that I'd smack him one." He shrugged and glanced down at his jeans and slightly grubby shoes. "Boss lets me wear what I want, do what I want. That and lots of good beer any time. The bar is a damn good place to work, when we have a full staff."
They just needed to stop dying on them, really.
"You new around here?"
