He couldn't even express what he felt at the scene displayed before him. He realized he was alone as he stepped forward, closer to himself. The words felt familiar, and he frowned as he made note of the terms that rang with something. But nothing made him feel more as if he'd found what he really was, until the man Bak called him an Exorcist. Exorcist. The word seemed to bear such a heavy weight and yet filled his heart with a warmth he'd forgotten ( ... )

One moment they were chit-chatting in the elevator, and the next -- where were they now? There was a moment before stepping from the elevator in which the lot of them had stood peering together. But now, as Throne alighted, the warn sole of his tennis shoe finding cold stone -- he realized that he was alone again, just him standing isolated in a grand space. "Hey!" Throne called, his voice reverberating loudly; he twisted about to see where they had gone, but his companions were suddenly nowhere to be found ( ... )
