It was really hard to miss that umbrella. Enormous and rainbow-colored, it was like a giant beacon of gay. Not that that was Drake's intention when he found the thing; it was just a big umbrella that he'd snagged out of Manhattan and was now putting to very good use on the deck of the ship. Not for the first time, he wondered just why they couldn't move the blasted cocoons below deck where, you know, his papery paleness wouldn't be so inclined to turn into an ugly sunburn. Sigh.
The whole kunai business definitely intrigued him. He'd found the drawing instantly recognizable; it had taken him a second to realize that it was the weapon the blond in his dream had held at his throat. The realization piqued his interests. Odd things, those.
He saw someone jogging over in the distance and unfolded himself from his camp chair, getting up and stretching. She wasn't quite within earshot yet; he did wave, though, absently. This was bound to prove fascinating, like so many other things he'd discovered of late.
As she got closer, she waved back and sped up a little. She was in good shape and running never tired her out as long as she paced herself well. When she got close enough to not have to scream on the top of her lungs, she called out. "You were right! Only the blind could miss that giant rainbow of an umbrella you've got there."
Stopping in front of him, she pulled out one of the kunai from the back of her belt and held it out for him, smiling brightly. "Here, take a look for yourself. Does it bring back any other details to mind? These are a bit smaller than a lot of the ones I saw in the shop. More suited for throwing, I assume, which is absolutely fine for me." She was also quite eager to find something to throw them at as a test.
"I suppose it's useful for making it simple to find me." Drake rolled his shoulders in a fluid shrug. It kept the sun off, even if it was one seriously gaudy piece of...well, whatever an umbrella was a piece of.
He looked at the kunai for a moment, then took it to examine it minutely. "The one I remember was longer, throwable but probably equally as effective in close quarters," he said, mostly to himself. There was something in the back of his mind that was tugging at him; it was from the unpleasant spot though, so he was trying to ignore it. It was like having someone poke you with a pin repeatedly.
"There's more, I guess..." He looked around for a moment for a target. "There has to be something around here that you could throw this at without breaking anything important." AKA not a cocoon and not his umbrella, and not him.
Weasel Girl watched as he examined the kunai, nodding as he made a comment about the difference in size. She cocked her head to the side a little as he seemed preoccupied with his thoughts. Probably trying to recall some important detail in regards to his dream or whatever memory he had regained.
She looked around as well, since the cocoons would not be good targets to use with people inside them. With a lack of any solid material in the area, she fixed her eyes on a lone insect that was hovering about several feet away. "I guess that will have to do!"
She grinned and planted her feet firmly in the ground as she gripped the kunai tightly before letting it loose with a flick of her wrist. It zipped through the air until it reached its target, piercing it and travelling forward a few feet further before slowing down and falling to the ground with the bug. Her eyebrows rose in surprise, not really expecting to have hit it at all, and she stared at the kunai as she picked it up. "Oh, wow ..."
