Characters: Range [wartimenovelty] and Fullmetal [rustyarmor] Date/Time: June 3rd Location: The Paper Factory Rating: G Summary: Range starts his job and meets Fullmetal.
Fullmetal had been busy playing with one of the machines and hadn't noticed anyone come in. As such, he jumped a little before turning around to face the man. He was a little shocked when he saw him. Fullmetal was sure he'd seen the same man down in the market, although they'd never talked. Then again, it wasn't unheard of for people to die and come back with no memory of being in Edensphere before. He'd experienced that first hand, so if this WAS the same person, he had an idea of what he was going through.
"Hi! I'm Fullmetal, nice to meet you." He walked toward the man and awkwardly offered his right hand. It seemed like a good idea to shake hands, although he felt he didn't have much experience with it.
“That’s me,” Range answered, smiling and moving to give Fullmetal a quick but firm handshake. “Nice to meet you, Fullmetal.” The other seemed to be as young as Bastet had mentioned, and it was enough to make him hesitate, not sure what else to say. “Oh, and don’t worry about that handshake. I’m not sick anymore, I promise.” He snuck a glance at the machine, noting that it seemed to be yet another type. How many were there?
“So is there a tour, or do I jump in and start working?”
Range watched as the machines started working, paying close attention to the steps and only turning his attention away when Fullmetal shut it down. He raised an eyebrow when he saw the other clapping his hands together and touching one of the sides, moving forward and staring when it opened without hinges or any obvious tears. How had he--
He slowly covered the distance to look inside of the opening, unable to keep himself from whistling when he saw the lack of materials. "Weird. There's no way these should be able to work if they all look like this." The words were out of his mouth before he registered them, but--it was true, wasn't it? He felt a prickle on the back of his neck, and wondered whether it was just common sense or something else that had made him say it.
Common sense. Probably common sense.
"When'd you find out about this?" Range pulled back and regarded Fullmetal carefully, briefly glancing down at his hands.
