That's what he would focus on. Not Iris reading aloud the book dramatically, not the extravagant hand gestures, or the glitter, or the bits of sewing supplies from where the other man had been altering the clothing, or the soft wriggling of cocoons. He would focus on the sound of his fingers tapping against the hilt of his sword. It was all he could do to keep his sanity, eyes closed, and one brow twitching the slightest amount.
"...Iris." he finally spoke, that low monotone carrying in a rather assertive manner. "Stop."
He would much prefer not to be reminded of the 'Mystery Authors' novels with he was at work.
He stood up from where he had been leaning against a large wall of marshmallows, stepping over. "Can you not read quieter?" He asked with a small frown, before glancing to the cocoons as one or two began to rustle.
....Of course. They would have new arrivals.

Though he was near-sighted, it was obvious enough he was in some sort of liquid, and the obvious reaction was Have to get out. Never mind that he was breathing just fine, the instinctive urge caused him to unfold his arms.
And break through the seal of the cocoon, breaking it into pieces. The air was much colder, and it caused him to gasp and slightly cough. His hair hung limply about his face, and he brushed it aside to look up at the blurry sky, wondering exactly...what just had happened.

...Again?
Only this time... It was clearer, though whatever that had been... He felt like he was waking out of some sort of vivid dream. Was he? It had felt pretty damn real, but this... He could tell this was something else entirely.
It felt as though he were suspended in some sort of egg.
Thoughts still a haze, he tried to breathe in and only found himself getting a gulp of some kind of viscous liquid.
He would've hissed if it hadn't been muffled by more of the stuff, all around him, filling whatever bizarre vessel this was - and whatever it was, he obviously couldn't stay in it.
Abruptly, his arms shot out and he tore through the membrane of the... thing that was holding him, spilling out and landing on all fours on solid ground, coughing in a daze with yellow cat's eyes flashing behind soaking gray hair, falling in his face, staring at the floor between his hands...
What was all this?

"Seraph, darling, would you get the towels for our ducks?" Iris cooed as he headed for the cocoons and the new hatchlings.
"Welcome to Edensphere my dearest darling sweet children." The tailor greeted, enthusiastic and cheerful as he stopped just outside of goo range, and watched the two new boys try to get their bearings.
"I'm sure you have plenty of questions, but first, try to think back on that dream you just had! Don't lose sight of it, it's the only thing that's truly your own, right now. It is your first and most vital clue in this, your new life of adventure and intrigue!"

"..." He offered the towels, looking at the two. "Here. Please, clean yourselves." His monotonous voice was low and simple, a sharp contrast to the over-excitable Iris. "My name is Seraph. This is Iris. We are here to assist you."
He closed his eyes and stepped back, allowing the newborns to clean themselves or cover themselves up. "You will have to select names for yourselves."
