Morning

Renae wasn't always up early, but she was today. Now that things were (more or less) back to normal, the girl was eager to take up Cara on her offer of weapons training. She scrambled to get ready and was out the door in moments, darting toward the elevator.

Upon reaching The City Without Walls, Renae headed over to the Marketplace, toward the weapon shop. She hadn't actually been to the dojo before, always distracted with other activities. Well, there was no time like the present and at least this would be a productive visit. Upon catching sight of Cara, she waved cheerfully.

"Hello!" Cara said with a grin at the sight of Renae, returning her cheerful wave. She headed over and took her friend's wrist to lead her inside. "I think I've found something that'll fit you! You said you wanted to learn how to use a staff, right?"

Renae nodded. "Yep! I figure that's a good place to start and if there's one that works for my size, all the better. I don't want to try and train with something that's far too heavy."

Cara let go to select one of the few staffs that were there. It was fairly worn, but that just meant that it had seen a lot of good service in beating off things with too-large appetites. Though both of them were the same size, Cara knew that Renae didn't have the same sort of physical strength that she did, so judging weapons that would fit was a bit iffy. "Try this one," she said, holding it out.

Morning, 17th

Spike came to the weapons stall as soon as he'd risen and showered, eager to start looking for weapons and really get down to business, as he felt as though he'd been slacking. He rasied a hand in greeting to Cara when he spotted her.

"Cara?" he questioned. "I'm Spike- here for my lesson."

"Heya!" Cara said brightly to Spike. "It's nice to meet you. So, do you want to have a look around or just head straight the dojo?" She looked him up and down, to see what sort of sword might suit him best. He looked as though he'd be be able to handle a sturdy weapon though.

"You, too," said Spike with a little smile. "I'd like to look around a bit first. I'm still not sure what kind of weapon I'd like; I want to try a few things out and get a feel for them first."

"Good idea," Cara said, nodding. "You look like you could do well with a sword... but you mentioned that you were using a staff of some sort over the journals, so maybe you ought to try a spear too." Cara really considered the spear as one of the best weapons--incredibly practical and kept monsters at a good distance.
