On the contrary to Commander, Scales was secretly enjoying his new self. It was weird - there was a kind of confidence involved, a self-awareness that Scales wasn't usually accustomed to. It was a nice change from his usual insecurity, and he most certainly would try to take some of them for himself. Not only that, but it made him feel complete, like he had both parts of his whole. It was an incompleteness that he'd become accustomed to - but that didn't mean he liked it.

A train, he thought, as he headed over to the elevator. Was this also someone?

"I wonder got transformed into a train," he said, looking at it as he pressed the button for the residental zone.

Commander didn't recognize the other man. But if this was an epidemic, then that wasn't saying much. "Commander," he murmured in a rather sighing train whistle. Waiting for the elevator doors to open, he had to wonder just how he was going to fit into this thing. "What shall I call you?"

...Apparently becoming a train had messed with his head more than he'd thought. He'd just meant to ask who the guy was.

"Nice to meet you, Commander. If only you had hands." He laughed a brusque little laugh, and put his own hands in his pockets. "I'm Scales, though. Normally I'm a little bigger and stronger than this, and I'll assume that you're not usually a train. Maybe we'll see each other later on after all of this has moved on and won't even recognize each other.

He looked at the elevator doors, and then the train, and the elevator. It looked like he'd noticed the size issue as well.

Commander was less than amused by the hand quip. If only he had hands he wouldn't be in this horrid situation.

"That may depend. What shall you look like?" He asked, more a mutter than a solid question. Looking at the elevator, he mentally frowned. This was ridiculous. How was he supposed to get around as a train?

...How was he supposed to eat as a train!? He was going to die of starvation... Unless Scales cared enough to get him food. ...Did he even have a stomach?
