Motoko was waiting by her door, sitting in the doorjam, listening for the telltale sounds that Bridge warned her about. Her arm was laying limply by her side, only a handful of wires made the connection where her elbow would be. There were also a few scratch marks where she had fought off those flying things. She wasn't sure now if they would heal.

The most unsettling thing about the whole deal was not the wires, but the idea that they might not just run through her arm. The idea that she wasn't even human was starting to sink in, and scare the hell out of her.

What she wouldn't do to know what the heck was going on...

Bridge spotted her and smiled, coming up to her, Logan trotting close behind. He was trying not to stare too hard at her injured arm.

"Hey- you must be Doll. I'm Bridge, and this is Logan Sparky McRuffles the Second. Of course, I usually just call him Logan since his full name is a mouthful..."

Logan approached with some hesitance, tilting his head to one side and quacking.

Motoko's red eyes fixed on the man. He wasn't quite how she had pictured him, but who was? Next her eyes flew to the dog. She was perhaps even more interested in seeing it.

"That's me," she said, the side of her mouth turning up a bit in a smile that wasn't completely convincing. "Logan, hm? Cute name." She held out her good hand, palm up, to the approaching dog. When it quacked, she jumped a little bit, before her smirk grew.

"Yeah, real cute."

Logan baa'd his approval and displayed a heart on his LCD screen. Being called cute? That meant Doll was a-ok in his book.

"I took name suggestions and decided to combine them," Bridge explained cheerfully, swinging his backpack off his shoulders. "He's cute, yeah. Glitchy, probably because I found him in pieces in the Scavengers' Yard, but very cute."

He then swallowed and said nervously, "So... so how extensive is the damage? Can you even tell?"
