Tatsu watched quietly while the scene plays out in front of him. There didn't seem to be any way he can intervene. But that was... but she was right here with him! That didn't make any sense...
He glanced over at Companion, and looked back at the scene. He cried out when the man struck her, but something kept him in his place. "Someone should... do... something?" The image faded, and he was confused. What the heck was that?
Companion was locked in place, watching the scene in front of her unfold. She gasped when she saw the man his her, fingers rising to lightly touch her lips as she almost expected to feel the sting and the blood she knew would be coming.
Shaking her head slowly, she stumbled backwards until she encountered the back wall of the elevator, turning towards Tatsu as he spoke. "That...that's me. That man struck me. He was..." Words failed her as she attempted to make sense of the situation and what she had seen.

Honor stared... For a long time. Smuggling, threats...
Mothers who created babies.
She crossed her arms beneath where her breasts would be, taken in by the scene. Companion was with her, she knew. But she closed her eyes, fighting back tears.
Mothers... Babies. The connection was deep, and her fingers rose to the charm around her neck. It twisted deep in it, remembering the hot-cold sensation she'd felt, and the fear when she'd begun bleeding and had no idea what to do about it. Since then... Since the charm she hadn't had that issue. They twisted tighter grasping the half ember stone hidden under her shirt as well, and Honor kept her eyes closed, swaying slightly.
"Stop him... Women aren't weaker," She began mumbling to herself. "He's wrong, I know it."
Slowly pushing herself to a standing position again Companion glanced at Honor with sadness in her eyes.
Clearing her throat softly, she followed the other woman's gaze.
"That man was very sick, in the head. He had many problems, among them a hatred of women."
She spoke slowly, the information coming to her as she absorbed what she was seeing. "He came on the ship, Serenity, in the dead of night seeking a young woman whose only crime was in being brilliant. Her brother, that man there, would have given his life to defend his sister which was something that man there" she pointed at the armed man "could never understand." She paused, aware of how affected Honor seemed.
"You're right, women aren't weaker. That man had to learn the hard way." She smiled softly, glancing away. "I wish I could have been the one to teach him."
