Dash couldn't leave vapor trails or break the laws of physics, not here, but he could still run, and fast. So maybe not hypersonic, but still... He skidded around a building, headed for the beach, sprinted with as much power as he could for the bridge back to the tree he was really starting to hate.

A familiar shock of white hair--mirror to his own--caused him to veer course a bit until he got closer, slowed his pace enough to fall into step with Cross.

For a minute he didn't know what to say. He'd been living with Cross and Shiro for a while now, and the two bickered like a pair of brothers or a married couple or maybe just best friends. Dash knew way too intimately what losing someone that close was like.

Worse, Dash was feeling a little panicked at the thought of Shiro being gone. It scared him, even through the numb he was starting to acquire--temporary numbness. He still cared for his friends.

"Hey." Dash said finally, lamely.

Cross didn't slow down but his shoulders relaxed a little. Dash was still here. He didn't know Sky as well as he'd like to but he wanted to check on him too. "Hey." Finally he looked at Dash and he looked tired. He tired and worn out on having so many people he cherished disappearing through his fingers.

The smile he offered felt fake even to him and he held out Shiro's journal. "We can't lose this." He whispered. Once it was taken from his hand he'd shake out the other thing in his grasp. The red and black coat that felt RIGHT to hold onto. It was his and it was a sign...a sign of something. There would be no more hiding from possible death.

He'd stare it in the face and snarl his defiance.

Dash took the journal, flipped it open absently to stare blankly at the pages for a moment before shutting it and trotting after Cross again.

"Not letting it go." Dash promised, knuckles a little white on the journal. He glanced at the cloak thing, looked away, straight ahead.

"There's some clothes shops in the market. Might try there first." Dash offered, voice neutral. He refused to believe Shiro was gone to, so... They'd toss Rivelata up and down, turn every stone.

You didn't leave friends behind, he knew that much.

"He'd go there first. He wanted to see what they had that we didn't." cross shook out the coat and pulled it on. As he buttoned it - his strides changed from desperate to purposeful. Shiro couldn't be gone. He just couldn't disappear without a by your leave or a good bye. That wasn't like him at all.

Like that Cross felt rage starting to tear up his insides. He glared fiercely at his reflection in a puddle as he walked through it. That damn shadow and the lack of answers pissed him off. "If someone took him," His tone was polite but the edge of a threat was clear. "they're going to answer to us."

Friends were precious. Comrades and teammates were the stuff of dreams. You never broke promises to them. "If he gave us a right scare....I'm kicking him in the knee."

Bridge arrived in Rivelata rather slower than his usual running pace, clutching a stitch in his side. He hadn't even waited for Cross to reply before going to find him, feeling as though he needed to be doing something.

However, when he got there, he was uncertain. He suddenly realized that he and Cross had never actually met face-to-face and he had no idea what his friend even looked like.

Resolute in spite of this, Bridge started heading toward the market, figuring that was a logical place to go.

"Cross?" he called out. "It's me, Bridge!"

Cross had been wandering through the market a second go around when he heard bridge. He was a little calmer than before when he and Dash had torn through as if they were seeking the devil. He's wearing the black and red coat. For a moment he isn't sure he heard him and he pauses. But sure enough it's Bridge and even if they've never met face to face a friend is a friend. "Over here!" He calls out and waves his hand.

That's the one good point about his coat and hair. He stands OUT.

Bridge approached Cross, trying to smile at his friend, although he was panting pretty hard.

"Hey. I came as soon as I saw... I want to help you look. Or do something. I'm sick of people just vanishing and not being able to do anything about it..."
