Usually, Night was up and about, often trying to keep his one-track mind from getting stuck on the dream he had before waking in a cocoon and being 'born' in Edensphere. If he didn't keep himself busy, he'd feel crazy wondering who the hell his mother was and why he was angry at that tall, dark man. Actually, the young man was especially aggravated about the tall, dark man with long silver hair--standing in the fire, that man had an ominous presence that seemed to devour Night. No, he didn't like it at all; he was angry and jealous. But worse than that, he wasn't sure why, and it annoyed him to no end.

That was exactly why he often ran about meeting people, helping them in whatever ways he could. There was something gnawing at him, something deep down inside of him that told him things would be different if he only knew. Half of him was actually scared of that feeling, and the other half said that he needed to know at all costs. Mako felt a vibration from his armor and heard its drone. He'd been shot. He paused and got up from his kneeling position, looking over his shoulder casually. A whisper of 'traitor' seemed to speak into his mind as he studied the other man and looked him over, but he was completely different from the tall dark man in Night's dream... wasn't he?

Yet he couldn't describe or explain where that disgusting anger was coming from; it wasn't like he could really find any connection to the other man. Still, Night felt somewhere inside that this man was threatening, that he was dangerous, that he was a serious obstacle or hindrance, but to what, Night hadn't the slightest inkling ( ... )

"Mm," he replied in acknowledgment of the comment, hearing his suit power back up but not paying any attention to it. He continued to rummage through the junk in silence. Shreds of what may have been glove(s), a dented hammer head (how did that happen?), a bullet cartridge... but nothing that he could see of actual value. His eyes scanned over the surrounding area ( ... )
