...What the fuck?

What else could he say? One moment he was staring at the sunset like it came from some corny romance movie and the next he was enveloped in this weird, slimey... thing. The very first thing he ever remembered was being drowned in some large body of water. He's surely not going to end up like that again.

So he did what he had to do - He blindly groped around everywhere. He stubbornly refused to open his eyes, so he had to do so in every single place. He was holding his breath, but his time was almost up.

Damn it.He was about to about to open his mouth just so he could swear at something when he suddenly felt something. It was still soft, like everything else around him, but it seemed more solied. He pushed a bit more, and suddenly it all crumbled down - even the slimy stuff disappeared ( ... )

And right when the world had color and crumbled as he stood upon it, the brunet suddenly found himself encased. A sense of claustrophobia seemed much more severe that the gooey substance.

His arms tensed, braced against the side, his knees against the solid matter underneath. Determined, he pressed against all sides, unwilling to rest or give up even as his muscles strained. Finally, the liberating break sent the man tumbling to the floor, where he remained still and silent for several moments in an attempt to claim at least one comprehensible thought.

With a cough and a sudden gasp for air, he pushed himself to his hands and feet. His eyes opened very slowly, closing every once in while as the sudden exposure of light stung. Even when he could keep them peeked open, he couldn't quite focus on anything, the world around him brightness holding darker objects.

His voice rasped, "Where am I? What's going on?"

[ooc: Italics = spoken in Russian.]

After having downed the contents of an entire bottle of vodka he was, understandably, a little woozy. Everything became fuzzy and indistinct, until it had all faded away into one great blur of nothingness. It took a moment, but eventually he noticed there was a slight pressure all around him that hadn't been there before, as though the air itself were squeezing him lightly. Whatever it was, he didn't enjoy it particularly.

He experimentally waved his hands around at it, however this simply had the effect of having a small shock wave of movement ripple through the stuff. In his flailing his hand eventually came into contact with something of a harder consistency, something he proceeded to press against. It gave way easily, sending him tumbling through the air for a few seconds before his side suddenly smacked into something very hard.

"Oh, that hurts...He sat up, rubbing at the arm he'd landed on. Looking around he noticed four strangers, two of them stark naked, none of them even vaguely familiar ( ... )

"HMPH!" He commented, irritated by the popping splatter at his side. Fugue's body hurt from getting shot at throughout the course of the past two weeks, but there wasn't much he could do to remedy that. Moreover, Drake had dragged him out of his hiding place and was forcing him to work--HOW RUDE!

He then heard the falling of cocoons and some comments -some of which were indecipherable from his distance- before getting up from the little corner he was cowering in. Picking up some little bundles that Iris must have made, he stood tall in his militia-looking grey paintball outfit.

"Welcome. You've just been born."

He'd never been particularly helpful as a greeter.

Hey, if Drake had to work through some of the most hellish conditions he'd dealt with yet in Edensphere then Fugue could work too -- and if it got Drake a few bonuses then far be it from him to turn that down. He shifted his aim, nailing some enterprising soul who thought it'd be a good opportunity to try and sneak in some of the Fugue-bonus. Now that Drake was getting the hang of this rifle thing he was a good shot -- and proving it by getting everyone else cleared out of the way so he could shoot his boss in peace ( ... )
