Characters: Gungnir flenceburgsbest and Carson/Kite konoashi Date/Time: May 21, just past midnight Location: The Hall of Beginnings Rating: TBA? Summary: Carson arrives in Edensphere, and someone is there to greet him.
[ooc: he is blind so ignore the parts where he says its pitch black]
He opened his eyes to find himself in a pitch black enclosure. All he could feel was the goo all around him. instinct took over and he took a deep breath and quickly choked. He quickly found out while he had the instinct to breath he found himself not needing to while surrounded by whatever gooey substance he was in. 'I don't care what this is I'm getting out of here!' He thought Pushing forward he felt the edge of the cocoon and with a push he tumbled through the barrier and did a somersault as he landed with a thud on the ground.
Wiping the goo from his eyes he looked around, again it was pitch black. "Hello? is anyone out there?" He said to the blackness.
Gungnir was just turning his head to catch someone falling spectacularly and crying out in distress. Despite all of this, he chuckled.
"Lovely fall," he said. "Welcome to Edensphere."
He paused, blinking twice, then waved a hand a few inches from his face.
"Ah, that explains it. Here," Gungnir continued, setting all but the clothing upon the floor away from the goo, helping the poor fellow out by pulling the tunic top over him. Not wanting to see a little more of this gentleman than he'd prefer, he simply placed the folded pants over the man's lap.
"You have no memory of your past life, nor does anyone who dwells here.. your only clue is the dream you just had. Since there's no doubt in my mind you do not know your name, what would you like to be called?"
He stopped for a moment. He could see the hand has it had waved in front of him in the darkness or at least he thought he did, everything had remained blank to him, he reached to grab Gungnir's hand as he saw him extend it as he attempted to pull the shirt over his head, then let go just as quickly. "I'm... blind.." The pants in hand he quickly stood up and put them on. "My dream? how did you know?" he asked.
But that made him think. "I was flying, like a kite in the sky.. I could see a battlefield... or could I? What does it mean?" he paused for a moment. "Kite." he said looking up at Gungnir's face. his eyes were almost pure white, with almost no sign of a pupil. It made him almost look like a ghost. He put his hand out to where he thought he saw Gungnir's shoulder. "What is your name?"
"My name is Gungnir. I couldn't possibly tell you what your dream meant, however. It is your dream to interpret and perhaps get your memories back with someday."
The pouch of money, paper map, and journal was then handed to him. "I just gave you money to start out with, a map of the area, and your journal. This journal is a little weird: Anything you write in it can be read by others, so don't write anything you can't take back~"
He lifted a brow. Why on earth was he giving these things to a blind man? ... Oh well. He was doing his job anyway.
"You'll be staying in the temporary housing for the next two weeks, or until you find a job," the mage continued on, wincing a little. How the hell do you do this with a blind guy? This was getting awkward.
