Last had been frightened by the city into the elevator, which promptly closed before the woman could get it open. She had been dressed in a long pale gown that brought out her eyes. Uncertainty reigned over her as she found a number and clicked it. She grabbed the elevator when it began to move, hurrying out of it when it stopped.

Where was she? The woman looked around, utterly lost again and began wandering. There were moans and other noises she didn't recognize, so the woman kept going until she had come to a spot where there were far less dangers, and she was much more lost.

She looked around, wide purple eyes curious. Her bangs had long since dried off, so it was no surprise that they covered her star fairly well. It was a park she'd led herself to, apparently. There were trees around, so the woman wandered a bit, straying clear of the other side which appeared to have more combatants on it.

A tune began in her mind, though she didn't voice it.

Drake had given the Dreamlord much to think about and so, even after the young man had gone, Twenty remained, staring out across Edensphere's expanse.

Until he heard the sound of another approach, which confused him because so many others seemed to be afraid of the zombies and Lucy :) wasn't to meet him until the evening, back near the city he was forced to rest at night in.

So he turned to the newcomer, black hair and tanned skin framing his vibrant eyes. "Who comes now?"

She looked at him with her wide purple eyes, some sadness hiding behind them. "I am called Last," she murmured, though it came out slightly musical, as she had been contemplating musical tones absently.

Last made no move to come closer, nor move from the spot she had stopped herself in. She wondered if he was the reason for the clearing of the moaning, but deigned not to ask. He would tell her if he deemed it necessary he claim the "honor" of doing the deed.

There was something somewhat exhilarating about getting off the elevator and instantly being besieged by zombies. Drake didn't step out of the elevator; he flickered out, reappearing behind some of the undead and proceeding to torch the unholy hell out of them. It was fun. Anyone who was out fighting probably would have seen a whirlwind of fire and lightning blasting and slashing its way through the disgusting rotting hordes. He didn't do things half-assed, that was for sure.

Once he cleared the way to the bridge to Park Island it was a little easier. When he arrived he blinked; no zombies? Not like he could complain, really. He did pause to make sure he wasn't completely covered in zombie guts (he wasn't, it was a good thing having distance attacks), then approached where he could see Twenty standing. The other was sort of hard to miss.

"So we meet again, in less ethereal context," he commented reasonably conversationally. To be honest he was somewhat unnerved; having someone wandering in his dreams like that was...odd.

Twenty heard the approach and turned to face him. "Is it so strange? After all, you were there to greet me like all others summoned to this place ( ... )

"I don't greet everyone. Technically it's not even my job to do so. I'm a guard, not a greeter." Drake did notice the improvement in Twenty's condition; the confidence was most likely natural. He couldn't imagine someone talented enough to walk the dreams of others -- and call specific dreams to the surface -- being anything other than completely confident. He paused within easy speaking distance, but not within arm's reach. Always wary, forever guarded ( ... )

"Any foreigner bound in a cage for the delight of the natives would seek freedom - or do you disagree?" His voice was one of experience and Twenty thought he knew why, but could of course not be completely sure. "I was searching for something when I arrived here - that is what my birth-dream tells me, that I was not 'born' here, but came of my own free will and somehow the journey tired me enough that now I am bound again. This is how I know to seek out what I want to know - is that so strange either? That I should be less comfortable in one form than another, seeking a way back to an unbound form - a natural form?"

He appeared lost in thought, gazing up at the sky as he continued, answering Drake's question as much as musing for clarity, as he seemed prone to do when not in the Dreamworld, as if merely thinking without expecting something to happen was foreign to him. Producing words, hearing his own voice and feeling his mouth move, at least that was something ( ... )

Evening - Wilderness near the elevator lemonshine November 23 2008, 02:57:03 UTC
Something had drawn Lucy toward the elevator. She couldn't place her finger on what exactly but she sat down on a bench that was nearby. The sun was warm on her skin even as it began to set. There were large splotches of yellow and red paint marking her clothing as she looked at the twinkling lights of Las Vegas. She'd never seen anything like it as she smiled contentedly.

She hadn't told anybody yet but she actually really liked it here. She'd have to talk to Chosen and Seraph about bringing something back from this place to remember it.

At long last Twenty decided to return to the city. It was getting late and he'd promised Lucy :) he would see her where the "zombie" creatures did not dwell, or at least not in so great a number.

Descending the elevator still made him a bit tense, as the motion without any power of his own seemed... strange, out of place amidst everything else that reminded him so much of his island. His island.

He practically leaped out of the thing when it'd stopped, nearly missing the fact that she was sitting on the bench. But he spun quickly, thinking it was something else, and then saw her, for the first time and yet not. The first time outside of her dream.

"Lucy... You were to remain in the city." Then he remembered what Drake had told him. "This form..." he pressed the palm of his right hand flat against his chest, the claws now more than visible. "Is Twenty."

To say that Lucy hadn't been startled was a bit of an understatement. Yet when she heard Twenty announce himself, she calmed down enough to swallow the lump that had formed in her throat. The clawed hands and weird ways of talking didn't really mean a lot to her but they were interesting enough to catch her attention briefly before she smiledv at Twenty.

"Sorry, but I didn't want to worry anybody by doing something crazy," she explained. "I would've gotten both of us in trouble and I didn't want to do that so thanks for coming back down."

The jaguar from her dream popped into her mind briefly from staring at Twenty's clawed hands. Had it been Twenty in her dream after all? It was weird... the first time this had happened, she hadn't even been aware of it but perhaps because of the events before her revolving reveries had happened... This wasn't like when Argent had seen her dream; Lucy knew that.

"Were you in my dreams earlier this week, Twenty?" She asked cautiously.
