Argent had not bothered to get properly dressed in over a week. Nor had he bothered to do laundry, so his supply of dressing robes -- abundant though they were -- was getting rather limited. He hadn't bothered much with food, beside what was necessary for survival and keeping K.C. happy, or with tidying, though when it had become obvious that Throne would not be returning in the near future, he had started to make some efforts here and there as the only thing less agreeable than chores was living in filth. Once again, he'd been surprised how easily housework came to him when he had to do it, as if he'd once had a lot of practice -- though that was a truly terrifying possibility, and Argent largely chose not to think about it too often or particularly hard ( ... )

To be honest, Argent was, give or take, about exactly what Scales expected to see. This was a pretty nice thing, for once. A skinny kid with a confused look on his face, wearing pajamas, and a cat in the background with a slightly confused look on its face as well. Section four looked even nicer on the inside, and again he noted to ask about Drake and the possibility of being a guard. It was a little weird, though, that the guy was dressed in a robe rather than actual clothes, though Scales really couldn't comment on this, as he chose to basically wear khakis and occasionally boots.

Well, before they'd been stolen and never returned. That was another important thing to do, get new boots.

"Hi," he said, attempting to look as harmless as possible which was normally pretty difficult. "I'm Scales, and I'm looking for Throne. You're Argent, right? I was told that you would know where he is or at least have up-to-date information on him?"

Argent was actually not particular surprised to see that it -- he, Argent corrected himself based on the voice, though it was possible that Scales would not agree with that either -- could talk as he was by the entire existence of the dragon-man.

Still, it would not do to get hung up on questions of evolutionary possibility and what not when Scales obviously did exist, given that he was here and standing in the doorway and asking questions. So with a little nod, not in answer to the questions precisely, Argent shuffled back, pulling the door wider so that Scales could come in.

"I'm not certain I can provide you with satisfactory answers to any of those questions, Mr. Scales, except that yes, I am Argent." He smiled brightly and waved a hand in the direction of the living room. "Do come in, however, and I shall try my best. Can I get you anything to eat or drink?"

This was good and bad, really. There were a bunch of pretty all right things here, mostly that this was actually Argent and he wasn't getting shot, beat up, or otherwise driven out. Generally, he pretty much was accepted short of Praise; that made him feel pretty good.

On the bad side, though, Argent hadn't really answered his question outright which generally leant closer to 'no, I don't know' rather than 'well, he's eating dinner.' He stepped inside, taking in the distinct lack of cleaning going on here - definitely lived in by a kid like Argent with at least a minor disdain for cleaning.

"Just Scales is good," he said, nodding his head in thanks. "Just water, please and thank you." He went towards the living and sat, cocking his head at the confused-looking kitty.
