As the man sat up and accepted the towel he gazed at each of his fellows in turn - two males seeming to have a grip on the situation and two females who definitely did not.

"You're the key that stops the rain, your vision still the same...?"

His hands moved like they were attached at the wrist, not the fingertips, as he combed through this hair and wiped his face with the back of his hands and rubbed at his ears.

He sat up straight then, rolling his spinal cord to stretch his back, he kept trying to mumble to the two men, yet it came out as:
"But deep inside I know
Without you I am left alone
In a cage
Called life..."

A cage called life... how true it was, but how confusing at the same time to one who had only just been born. The cat-like-man began whispering almost as if out loud to himself, unused to hearing his own voice.
"You're the one that stops the pain" There was something...
"Your love is in my veins" A wash of green forest and blue sea...
"Forever you will live inside" No, trapped? Trapped was terrible...
"My temple of ( ... )

"OW!" Drake got kicked HARD in the shin -- by something that really really should NOT have been able to kick that hard -- and backpedaled as fast as he could. Holy fuck on a stick what the HELL was that thing? He'd seen some weird shit, but this was a new one -- and what in the hell was up with all that 'desu'? Good lord.

So. One doll with an attitude, one redhead who seemed to think she was the only one that mattered and one......he paused, looking over the man with the cat ears and tail. He was about to say something, but again no actual words.

"Black cat, nine lives,
Short days, long nights,
Livin' on the edge, not afraid to die..."

Okay, that made no sense. Let's try this again.

"Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the Sun God will make for your day
Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way..."What. The hell. Was THAT ( ... )

Oh, and here came the grin of his. Such a feisty little bunch! Straightening out his glasses first, he gestured to the table, where the tea was ready to go. "If you all would please dry off and get dressed before the tea gets cold, there are many things to discuss, items to give out, and questions to be answered!"

Lezard dusted off his hands then, and looked to the smallest one. "He didn't deserve that kick, you know. He did wind your key."

The mention of anything food related, even if it was just tea, was enough to quell the girl's fury. She wanted to do... something to the one man who was anything but helpful when it came to her question, but that action, too, escaped her. Resigned to go along with it for now, the girl fully dried herself off and quickly dressed herself before sitting down at the table. She had a feeling the gooey sensation wouldn't leave her body for a few days.

Questions and answers. That was what the male was more interested in than the two women fighting with the man. So, taking the towel around his waist - though the male had no interest in doing so, he did it because it might get Lezard to treat him more favorably - the male walked over to Lezard, speaking tentatively at first due to the lyrical nature.

"We're a family?" He asked, glad to made some sense to start off. "And we're a tree?" Well yes there was a giant tree dominating the landscape... "Our roots go deep down in history..." The male frowned and flexed his clawed hands as he tried again.

"Beneath the shelter of the trees
Only love can enter here
A simple life, they live in peace." There had been an ocean, waves crashing, a boat coming up to shore... and he'd gone down to meet it, hadn't he?

"Softly tread the sand below your feet now
Two worlds, one family
Trust your heart
Let fate decide
To guide these lives we see. To the Twelve's Twenty." It was a miracle he'd gotten that addition into his sentence, but was grateful since ( ... )
