Bastet was shocked at how suddenly the memory started, and how completely she was immersed in it; she could no longer see her companions at all, only this scene from the past.

The city looked only vaguely familiar to her, in that the shapes of the smaller buildings were something her eyes were accustomed to. Her eyes narrowed slightly as the men passed the young monk, the she blinked as Jump appeared, holding a child. Amused, she watched as the two men bickered, then chuckled outright when the baby pissed all over himself.

The memory faded and they were standing in an empty space, the elevator at their backs once more. "Well, now," she murmured, amusement clear in her eyes as she turned to Jump and Sniper. "I guess you really might be a mom, then, Jump."

As soon as the memory engulfed them, Jump knew it was his. The massive tower in the centre of the city, the odd mish-mash of architecture, and the strange combination of modern and traditional clothing were all things he recognized. The monk, too. His mind reeled back to the only other memory he'd regained, where he'd fought alongside "Zura". He knew it was the same guy before he'd even spoken ( ... )

Sniper blinked, tilting his head to the side and arching an eyebrow as he watched the memory play out. It was obvious from the get-go just whose memory it was; Jump was right there in front of them, after all. The whole scene had a strong element of ludicrousness; in general it was just....special.

Very, very, special.

He snorted at the kid pissing himself; that was impressive, honestly. Babies shouldn't be able to pee that much. When the memory faded he looked back at Jump, who looked completely horrified at the idea of a child of his own. Poor guy. Of course he couldn't QUITE give him that he wasn't irresponsible enough to have a kid -- didn't know him that well -- but he managed to very credibly fake that he believed it.

"Probably just a huge-ass misunderstanding, similarities aside." Not like he would've been all pleased to find out he had a kid of his own.

Bastet could tell Sniper was just as amused as she was, but since he was making the effort to hide it for Jump's sake, she wouldn't call him on it.

"Probably," she agreed. Not like she cared whether or not Jump had a kid, but she couldn't let that go by without poking a little fun. "How about we get out of here? There's no telling how long we've been gone by now." She turned to look back at the elevator, its doors standing patiently open.
