Thank you! I wrote another piece of "The Transient and the Eternal" in December -- Tattoo, which is actually the direct sequel to this fic. (And is also the reason I think I need a sidestory to cover the beginning of an actual threesome, because it is already thoroughly established in that story.)

It's been a lot of fun creating Jibril from hints and scraps. *grin*

I love seeing this, how Alexiel is changed post-Setsuna (though I'm also mourning Setsuna a bit. Only a part of her, woe! when he was so vibrant. I guess Alexiel does have the hugely superior memories and experience there. XD) The way she's still not settled in herself is so interesting.

Also really liked Jibril there, and how logical and political-minded she was, while still managing to come across as sweet and light-hearted (well, most of the time. XD then she'd say something that made her sound older than alexiel.)

The Alexiel-vs-Setsuna thing is the reason "If It Wasn't You..." is so long and complicated, because I love Setsuna and didn't want to make him vanish between stories. So that fic is about how he and Alexiel negotiate the merger of their personalities and memories after he dies. (Plus random other stuff -- lots of supporting characters! -- but the heart is Alexiel and Setsuna ( ... )
