[Fic] "What You Wish For" -- Avatar: TLA/Enchanted Forest Chronicles

This is another prequel piece to the Avatar/Enchanted Forest fusion that I am not writing. Katara is nine in the first section and eleven in the second, so it ends three years before the main story starts.

Katara and Ursa: families, loss, and compassion. (Also laundry.)

Eee! I love little Katara in her village, all disgruntled, and then powerless and sad. I love Ursa in the role of the fairy godmother (the in training part was very amusing XD) and she fits there pretty well. ^^ Woohoo fun universe~

Katara was pretty fun to write, which surprised me as she is not my favorite character -- I think it is because she is usually trying to do something, not just sit around and mope.

I was going to have the fairy be a generic OC, but as I was about to start describing an old, gnarled beggar woman, Ursa sort of slipped in and said, "No. I'll do this, if you don't mind." I think the switch worked out pretty well. :-)
