I enjoyed this a lot, but it made me sad. Although I want Dean to have a happy ending I'd really like Sam to have one, too. (not in a wincesty way ;))

Normally, I'd give Sam a happy end too if I could, but it was kinda crucially against the point... Still, in my head he's happy that they have each other.

I love how this is incredibly sad, but hopeful at the same time. Also, I really like your take on Jess - I love AUs where she's hunting with Dean and/or Sam, but not many of them make her believable. This one does.
